Bleach TYBW Part 4 Episode 10 Review
Bleach Brings Its Story to a Close With a 10-Year Time Skip

The time has finally come when all Bleach fans have to say goodbye to the beloved series. The episode was emotional and full of meaning from the very beginning; it opens with a joint monologue from both Ichigo and Rukia where they express that they would march on even without their forms. We then get transported ten years into the future, where we witness just what has happened since Yhwach was defeated. In a way, this is a very basic time-skip story where we are given a picture of the peaceful Soul Society that emerged after the notorious antagonist died.
The Soul Society has started to heal slowly and surely with a lot of new changes in the Gotei 13. Many beloved former Vice Captains have stepped up as new Captains. However, one person who truly deserved the position finally got it. Rukia’s rise to this position was somewhat foreseeable, and I am honestly happy for her.
Bleach Finale Confirms the Couples Fans Had Been Waiting For

The couples we got at the end were very obvious. Their romances were cautiously built over time, and when they do get together, it does make sense. Orihime was always clear about her feelings toward Ichigo. She even confessed her love to Ichigo before Ulquiorra kidnapped her. Ichigo’s intentions were not that clear, but with additional scenes in TYBW, it became apparent that she was extremely important to him. When she sacrificed herself, Ichigo was ready to sacrifice himself as well.
On the other hand, Rukia’s bond with Renji was also great to see. Though there were hints of a strong bond between them, the romance was not as apparent. Their union might be odd for some, but they are a sweet pair anyway. Their dynamic is quite silly, and it was good to see them depend on each other.
The Finale Brings Yhwach Back for One Last Unexpected Twist

We got a sudden visit from Yhwach as well. In this episode, we thought that Yhwach was dead for good. However, out of nowhere, his last remnants were spotted, and nobody had an answer for that. Multiple Captains rushed to a place to see what was going on, but a sudden move by an unexpected character erased Yhwach for good.

This was not really explained in this episode, and you kind of just realise that maybe this new character was strong enough to take on Yhwach by himself. What was more interesting than this was the commentary by Aizen. He becomes the voice of reason in this episode and tries to narrate what went wrong with Yhwach’s plans.
Bleach Teases a New Chapter, but Should Ichigo’s Child Lead the Story?

The way this episode ended definitely put forward a map for something more. It was heavily hinted that the story has not ended yet, and we will get a continuation where the next generation will be involved. I do not know whether Bleach will go the Naruto route and start a story for Ichigo’s kid. I personally would not want that. However, if Tite Kubo does intend to do something like that, I am hopeful that it will be good.
Final Thoughts

This episode ended just like the way it was depicted in the manga and I am not mad at all. Did I want more? Of course I did! Still, it left me feeling nostalgic enough to grieve the end of an era while giving me just enough hope to look forward to what comes next.
