Bleach TYBW Part 4 Episode 3 Review

One Character’s Stand Against Yhwach Is the Moment Fans Needed
Orihime had always been criticised by fans as one of the weakest characters in the series. From the very beginning, her role as a healer made it difficult for her to showcase her fighting powers. On top of that, her importance was drastically diminished in the anime compared to the manga.
So, seeing her shine in this episode as an influential character taking on some of the series’ strongest villains gives her character the boost it needed all these years. It also proves that her powers were never really weak; it was just not showcased properly. Orihime is actually a very powerful healer, and when she puts in the effort, she can hold her own better than many other characters in the show. The opening shot of her literally standing up to Yhwach definitely became one of the memorable moments from this episode.

Bleach Reveals the True Cost of Ichigo’s Fight Against Yhwach
The situation surrounding the Soul King has always been complicated in Bleach. The series has suggested that the Soul Reapers are not completely good because of how they use the Soul King to keep the three worlds stable. In this episode, we learn that Ichigo is also putting that balance at risk by trying to kill Yhwach. On top of that, if Ichigo succeeds, he would have to become the new Soul King. This means he would face the same cursed fate of simply existing without having any real purpose. Ichibei already knew this and had basically set things up so that everything would work in the Soul Reapers’ favour.

Interestingly enough, Ichigo is willing to accept this, even though he knows what could happen to him. This revelation shows just how complex Bleach’s world-building is. It also shows how Ichigo is as a hero; willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Ichigo’s Desperate Battle Against Yhwach Was More Calculated Than It Seemed
Throughout this episode, we witness the despair of the protagonist who has no other choice but to fight. Ichigo is not at the level to kill Yhwach right at the moment. It is very apparent, and he also knows that very well.
Thus, at one point even Orihime thinks that maybe Ichigo was being too reckless. However, it is only later that we realise that he was not at all hot-headed in his fight with Yhwach. Even though he knew he was facing off against a more powerful opponent, he had an idea and was working towards it. Hope was not all lost for the heroes. Thus, at one point even Orihime thinks that maybe Ichigo was being too reckless. This Episode Sets Up Bleach’s Most Anticipated Captain Battle
One of the most anticipated fights was between the captains and Gerard. In this one, some people will showcase their true Baikai, and it has always been a moment every Bleach fan had been waiting for. Even though we did not get those disclosures in this episode, it was apparent that such a display is coming very soon. Thus, this episode became a great stage for what’s to come.

Final Thoughts
This season of Bleach is giving fans everything that they hoped for in a much better way. The storyline is definitely following its source material, yet it is doing things in such a superior way that you realise how important it is for the creator to stay involved with the anime production.
It is great that Tite Kubo is actively working to improve the anime, giving us an adaptation that is even better than the manga. This is something that rarely happens in the anime scene.
