Why does this episode showcase Orihime in the very beginning?

In the very first scene, we see Orihime looking at a red flower. Then Tatsuki comes, and Orihime tells her that the flower resembles Ichigo. Tatsuki disagrees with it because the flower’s colour does not really resemble Ichigo. However, later we learn that Orihime likened Ichigo to that flower because she understands that, just like the flower, Ichigo’s heart is also burning with the desire to protect everyone. Thus, she decides that it was her time to use her powers to protect Ichigo.

What was Askin’s reason to fight for Yhwach?

Urahara directly asks Askin why he is fighting so intensely when he clearly does not seem like the kind of guy who would be interested in loyalty. Askin agrees with Urahara’s observation. However, he adds that he wanted to fight for Yhwach because he desired to know what kind of world the Quincy king plans to create.

What happens in the fight between Askin and Urahara?

It was clear from the very beginning that Askin was overwhelmingly powerful, and it would have been impossible to defeat him. Thus, Urahara had to bring out one of the biggest weapons that he had, which was the Bankai. His Bankai was never seen before, and we finally see its mysterious powers. A giant lady comes out, and she literally patches every damage that gets caused by Askin. She even mends Urahara’s eyes that got ruined by Askin. From then on, an intense battle begins between them. However, things still did not look good for Urahara as he was still inside the ball that Askin was moderating.

How did Urahara manage the battle?

In this episode, it again gets proven just how intelligent Urahara was. He had a solution for every problem. Even though Askin was clearly overwhelming Urahara with powers, when it came to planning and preparing for the future, nothing could beat Urahara at his game. And that gets proven by an unexpected help that came from outside the dome that Askin created.

Does Ichigo finally confront Yhwach?

Ichigo and Orihime go to Yhwach, and Ichigo gives the duty of defence to Orihime. The union between Yhwach and Ichigo was also memorable as Yhwach tries to claim he is Ichigo’s father, which Ichigo outright denies. When Yhwach insults Ichigo’s mother, he loses his calm and starts his fight against the Quincy king.

What happens between Uryu and Jugram?

The fight between Uryu and Jugram also intensified, and we realise that it would be extremely difficult for Uryu to defeat Jugram as well. He is literally the second strongest Quincy after Yhwach right now, and Uryu would have to come up with something insane to win.

What worked and what did not work?

Too many things happened in this episode, and every moment was worth the wait. First of all, the soundtrack in this episode was absolutely great, and it just added to the quality of the series. Apart from that, we obviously got a really good animation. However, the highlight of this episode was definitely the introduction of Urahara’s Bankai, which we have all been waiting for.
