Man on Fire Ending Explained
What happens in the finale?
At the end of Man on Fire, the entire situation is left wide open – Creasy proves in front of everyone that Brazilian President Joao Carmo, Minister of Defence Prado Soares and CIA agent Henry Tappen had conspired together to use the FRP as a front to conduct the bombing of the building that ultimately killed Paul and his family.

Creasy embraces his role as Poe’s protector and vows revenge against those who took her family from her, and goes straight into enemy territory, luring the three to the hospital and then attacking them. In the aftermath, Carmo and Soares are arrested, and Tappen is killed, in a calculated act of vengeance with Poe’s help that leaves him wounded.
What happens to Creasy and Poe?
Although Creasy is mortally wounded in the fight, we ultimately see him fit and fine at the Rayburn funeral, where Poe delivers a sweet message. The two seem to share a warm bond, toughened through their joint efforts of seeing justice being served. This becomes a significant chapter for both the characters, as Creasy is finally able to save a loved one from harm, and it brings a change from his revenge journey to one that is more emotionally grounded. It also points a path towards a life with less violence.

What does the ending mean?
Through this, we see that it’s not just that a handful of people are evil – the entire system is flawed, wherein people are willing to do whatever it takes to get to the top. The series highlights the shocking situation, exposing how deep corruption lies and how far back these corrupt forces have used men like Creasy to do their dirty work and then dispose of them as they please. Either way, Creasy’s journey to peace is long and perilous and one that will not end until he sees his revenge through.
Is there a chance for Man on Fire Season 2?

Just when viewers think that things are coming to an end, a new twist is introduced – Director Moncrief gives Creasy another shot at righting the wrong in Mexico City, if he wants to revisit that chapter. Creasy is more than willing to venture into this situation, fresh from getting revenge and standing up for his loved ones.
With Moncrief’s call, the series opens up the possibility of following Creasy’s journey of revenge against the men who caused his entire team’s death in Mexico City. Since it was a very touchy subject for him, a possible second season might just be more action-packed and emotional. His fight is clearly not over, as redemption and revenge are ongoing struggles for him. Either way, this opens the story up for a wider conspiracy and even a global reach.
