My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
Initially, Kiyoka and his team rush to the royal residence, believing the Crown Prince is in danger. Arata joins them, and together they suspect that this could be a trap orchestrated by Usui. Their fears are confirmed when Masashi arrives with alarming news that Miyo is at risk.
Meanwhile, Miyo finds herself in a perilous situation as her so-called father appears, determined to take her away by force. He refuses to accept any resistance, making his intentions clear through his actions. Another shocking revelation follows which is Usui had help getting past the barrier. The real surprise, however, is the identity of the traitor, who is none other than Kaoruko. Though betraying Miyo was not her choice, she was left with no alternative when backed into a corner.

Kaoruko bravely takes on Usui, managing to match him in combat for a while. However, as expected, Usui ultimately overpowers her. He then unveils a crucial truth about Miyo and her mother. Despite what was believed, Usui is not actually Miyo’s biological father. Instead, he considers her a daughter in a symbolic sense.
Deep down, he may see Miyo as a connection to her mother, whom he failed to protect. His inability to save her might be what drives his desire to keep Miyo close, as a way to preserve her memory. This could explain his shocking proposal to Arata, revealing just how cunning and manipulative he truly is.
My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 7 Review

Today’s episode started off on a pretty light-hearted note as the new year is upon our couple. They are finally resting a bit after the commotion that they had to face with Usui. Somewhere else, Crown Prince Takahito also issues a warning against an upcoming problem that will threaten the ongoing peace. On top of that, Miyo is having her own issues settling in as Kiyoka’s lover. They go out for a shrine visit, but on the way, they witness a bizarre gathering.
The Gifted Communion has now taken to public demonstrations where they would spread false information about the grotesque beings. They start preaching to people that the government is trying to hide evolved grotesque beings and the only way to fight them is by having abilities themselves. According to them, they are the only way one can attain ability without being a noble. This kind of gathering was quickly squashed, but the fact remains that this is happening everywhere.

Even newspapers are spreading false information and speaking against the government, glorifying the Gifted Communion in the process. Things are truly becoming worse for the royal family and Miyo. Her abilities are becoming stronger and stronger, and her visions are also getting weirder. She dreams of both Usui and her mother’s past again, but this time was caught by Usui. The situation becomes so alarming that Miyo is sent to the royal palace to be kept protected at all times.
Verdict

Today’s episode was preparing us for something big and very bad. The romance elements were there, but it got overshadowed by the unrest that the characters were feeling. Even then, Miyo and Kiyoka are getting closer than ever before, and hopefully, nothing will change between them.
