My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 18 Recap
Here, the situation appears to be improving, but on the other, things are simultaneously getting worse. Tsuyu points out that while the destruction hasn’t reached its full potential, the current state of affairs is far from good. Many key heroes are working tirelessly to prevent All For One from reaching Tomura, giving everything they’ve got to inflict as much damage as possible.

Enter a pivotal figure, Gigantomachia, who caused chaos during the previous encounter with the villains. A flashback reveals how Machia became involved in the current situation. He had been captured and held elsewhere, with several villains attempting to free him. Thanks to Mina, Eijiro, and Shinso’s efforts, Machia was brainwashed and turned against their enemies.
As a result, Machia ends up fighting All For One instead of aiding him. However, the brainwashing isn’t strong enough to hold for long, and All For One eventually breaks free of its influence. What’s unexpected is that Machia, even after being freed from the brainwashing, refuses to follow All For One’s commands.
Meanwhile, All For One is growing younger and more powerful. The more he is attacked, the more his vitality seems to return.

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 19 Review and Recap
This was single-handedly the best episode of this season, which delivered a stellar storyline but also moved us to feel what the characters had to endure. The episode begins with the obvious failure of the heroes against the onslaught of villains. Deku is trying his best to keep Tomura at bay, but all of that can come undone if All For One joins him in the fight. And that is exactly what is going on because Hawks and others could not contain him anymore.

On top of that, it is painfully obvious that there is no one at this moment who can face All For One. Yes, Shoto might be able to do something against him, but he is injured, plus Dabi is quickly becoming a bigger risk. He has gone completely berserker mode and is planning to wipe out not only his father and himself but also the surrounding area by detonating his body.
Thus, if Shoto must go somewhere, he should go to where Dabi is and contain him first. Hence, All Might finally steps in and gives orders to Shoto to move to his brother’s place with the ever-reliable and fastest Tenya. But what about All For One? Well, he will be stopped by the one man who has always made it his job to protect everyone from day one, and it is none other than All Might.

The place where Dabi is becoming a threat is nearer to the safe zone where the rest of the Todoroki family resides. Hence, the blazing and intense interaction between father and son is also witnessed by the mother, who has been far too passive about her husband’s way of raising their children.
Rei finally decides she, too, needs to be present in the scene that involves Toya, her eldest. But, she’s not alone as she gets joined by her other two kids, and almost the entire Todoroki family ultimately gets the chance to come together and resolve all their differences, even at the cost of being wiped out together.

Verdict
Today’s episode was honestly my favourite, and I do not have any complaints regarding anything. The animation went absolutely crazy, and the music as well was brilliant. I was impressed with how they managed to keep the audience at a constant high with just the right amount of despair and hope.
