Chief Detective 1958 Episode 7 Recap

Chief Yu’s returns shocks everyone, however, it doesn’t stop here as he goes ahead to present Dol-sik with proof of his pledge to the Japanese emperor. The others in the team are happy with his return, and soon the new year arrives. Young-han takes Hye-ju to the temple to offer their prayers but ends up saving some leprosy patients on the way. Later on his way back, a man falls from a building and Young-han takes up the case. The investigation soon begins and they confirm that this is not a suicide but a murder.

Soon, with the help of the letters provided by the deceased’s wife, they confirm that the suicide note is fake. Later, the leprosy patients hiding in the alley behind the building where the crime happened, inform Young-han about the murderer. While Young-han and his team get closer to the culprit, Do-seok warns them to hand the case over to the KCIA as it is a stock-related crime.

However, Young-han and team soon find out that powerful forces manipulate the stock market, the KCIA included, and go ahead with their investigation. They soon find one of the major figures in this manipulation game and follow him to a gambling den where they find the murderer. They soon devise a plan and with Nan-sil’s help, they go ahead to catch the murderer, his boss, and the man who helped them find this place.

The three don’t take long to reveal their crimes, but right then the KCIA arrives and takes them away. Young-han is not satisfied with this and stops the murderer and his boss from leaving. However, the third person, who is the nephew of a major figure behind the stock manipulation, leaves with the KCIA and later escapes the country.

Some days later, the two men meet their end but Young-han is not satisfied as he couldn’t bring justice to the people. However, months later, the stock market collapses and the people behind this crisis are acquitted.
