The plot revolves around Doo-na, a member of the popular girl group Dream Sweet, who reaches a crossroad in her life and decides to leave the group, seeking a new path. Fleeing from the stifling world of celebrity-hood, she moves into a quiet shared house, hoping to find solace in anonymity. Meanwhile, Won-jun, a diligent college student, is leading a routine life focused on his studies. He stumbles upon an opportunity to move into the same shared house as Doo-na, looking for a change of scenery and a break from the monotony of his daily routine.

Their paths collide in this unassuming shared house. Fate weaves its threads as Doo-na, oblivious to Won-jun’s identity, mistakenly believes him to be a sasaeng fan—a passionate but sometimes intrusive follower of celebrities. Won-jun, on the other hand, does not know who she is.

Doona Reactions Still 1

K-netizens never enjoy sad endings in dramas; they always expect the leads to end up together. Fans are disappointed because the ending of the drama is open-ended, so they don’t really know whether Doo-na and Won-jun truly end up together. Everyone has given their own theories, and since the webtoon has a sad ending, people were expecting a happier resolution in the series.

Among the many Doona drama reactions on X (formerly Twitter), one of the viewers tweeted: “Just finished watching Bae Suzy and Yang Sejong’s #Doona, and what a bittersweet ending ???? They met at the lowest points in their lives and found solace in one another. I love that whether they end up together or not, what’s important is that they learned to love themselves and found their own happy endings.”

Despite being sad about the ending, one thing that fans cannot stop appreciating is Suzy’s visuals and the stunning chemistry between the leads. A viewer tweeted “ bae suzy as lee doona is literally making me weak in the knees cause how can a real person be this beautiful….” Another tweet says “no lines. no dialogues. just pure acting from her eyes and expressions. bae suzy, the best actress that you are.” Their chemistry was so good that people also tweeted “GIVE YANG SEJONG AND BAE SUZY ALL THE COUPLE OF THR YEAR AWARDS!!!”
