The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 2 Ending Explained: What is Mythosaur? Is Din Djarin Alive?

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 2 ending explained has to be one interesting piece. The episode is directed by Rachel Morrison and written by Jon Favreau. It is titled The Mines of Mandalore and the runtime is 42 minutes.

Created by Jon Favreau, the show is a part of the famous Star Wars franchise and takes place five years after the events of the 1983 film Return of the Jedi. It stars Pedro Pascal as the title character aka Din Djarin along with Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Werner Herzog as the Client, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Nick Nolte as Kuiil, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Emily Swallow as the Armorer, Esposito, Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett.

We also have Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Mercedes Varnado as Koska Reeves, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand and several others. The third season will see the return of Esposito, Weathers, Sackhoff, Swallow, and Abtahi.

In the latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3, we finally saw Mandalore along with Din and Grogu. But, the place wasn’t as hospitable as one would expect it to be. With Din doing his own expedition, the episode really took a wild turn towards the end.

When Din Djarin and Grogu explore the mines of Mandalore, the former is trapped by a crab-like droid and taken deep into its lair. Din loses his blaster and Darksaber in this process and the only help he has is Grogu, who tries to use the Force to help Din but, fails. However, Din asks Grogu ot escape and reach Bo-Katan for help, which he does.

Grogu reaches Bo-Katan on his speeder asking for help, who agrees. A trio is formed consisting of R5-D4, Bo-Katan and Grogu who visit Mandalore with the purpose to save Din. Bo-Katan fights all the creatures that come forward to block her way and is in time to save Din from his blood being taken away by his captor. Din is unconscious as Bo-Katan gets rid of his captor using the Darksaber.

When Din wakes up, he finds Bo-Katan around and after a quick talk reveals how he will continue his journey into the Living Waters and find his path to redemption. This time along Bo-Katan wants to join him only to help Din reach his destination. While on the journey, Bo-Katan reveals the past of Mandalore and her time as a ruler on the planet.

At the end of The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 2, everyone reaches the Living Waters. But, on reaching the place something unknown takes hold of Din and takes him further into the deep. Bo-Katan follows only to find Din unconscious and a Mythosaur waiting. The Mysthosaur is a legendary creature that was ridden by the ancient Mandalorians and was thought to be dead for a long time. Bo-Katan manages to save Din from the ancient beast which is where the episode ends.
