Is this the month of Spanish dramas taking over Netflix? Well, we think so! After the tragic tale of Alba, Netflix recently released another Spanish drama titled Live is Life which is one heartfelt tale about friendship and love. The film takes its name after the 1984 song by the Austrian pop-rock band Opus and truly represents the spirit of the song throughout the course of the movie.
Directed by Dani de la Torre and written by Albert Espinosa, it stars Adrián Baena as Rodri, Juan del Pozo as Álvaro, Raúl del Pozo as Maza, David Rodríguez as Suso and Javier Casellas as Garriga alongside Marc Martínez, Sílvia Bel, Jon López, Fernando Morán, Mercedes Castro, Luisa Merelas, Covadonga Berdiñas, Lua Carteron, Toni Garrido, Laura Nuñez, Ana Villalón and María Villalón. The runtime of the film is 109 minutes.
Live is Life is quite a simple but, impactful movie. It shows how a group of friends- Rodri, Alvaro, Maza, Suso and Garriga reunite in a small town in Galacia and embark on one fine adventure to secure a magical flower to brew a potion that is said to cure any illness. While on their journey to get to the flower the boys encounter a bunch of bullies, fight them off, and come across some tragic mishaps and some lovely moments. But ultimately, the question still remains, do they get the magical flower and brew the potion? Well, let’s find out.

Live is Life Ending Explained
Towards the end of Live is Life, after the boys have tackled most of the problems on their way, they finally reach the top of the mountain that houses the magical flower. They take the flower and brew a magic potion. This magical flower that is said to cure any illness and make you strong is something very crucial to the group as Suso’s father is in a coma and Alvaro suffers from cancer that will only be possible to get rid of if he cuts his arm that harbours the tumour.
Thus, after making the potion, Suso insists on taking it to his father, However, the boys ultimately decide that they will all take a sip from the potion. Suso ends up suggesting that they all offer their sips to Alvaro as he is the one who needs all the strength in the world to fight his terrible disease. The boys are happy to let Alvaro take the sip but, they also end up keeping a little for Suso’s father.
The boys then take the baby they found on their way to the hospital and leave her at the baby’s ward with a note that read: “Take care of her. Her name is Hope.”

When they reach Suso’s place, Suso gives his father the magic potion and is overwhelmed. He says out loud the constant fear he has about losing him and breaks down. His friends hold him tightly and hug him.
