Glory Ending Explained
The truth behind Gudiya’s mu*der
In the final episode, viewers finally find out what really happened to Gudiya and who harmed her. While Dev was searching everywhere, he neglected to look inside his own home, and thus, when Bharti tells him the truth after he figures out that she has been running a human trafficking operation, he is left stunned. Gudiya’s mu*derer is none other than their father, Raghubir Singh.
While Raghubir’s tough and relentless pursuit of the Olympic gold was not unknown to Dev, it becomes impossible for him to wrap his head around the fact that his father would stoop to such a level. However, as he later explains, he had figured out that Gudiya was pregnant with Nihal’s child and that he was ready to abandon everything for him. Raghubir, though, wasn’t ready to let his star athlete, the one who would finally make his name unforgettable in the boxing world, go so easily and, after he realised Bharti’s reality, he made a deal with her to get rid of Gudiya and save Nihal.

There, however, is another twist here – Raghubir’s real target was never Nihal; it was always Ravi. After leaving boxing after accidentally ending another athlete’s life in the ring, he gave up on boxing to live a quieter life. Raghubir used Gudiya’s de*th to lure Ravi back and manipulate him back in the ring. This reframes everything and proves that Raghubir’s obsession with glory comes at the cost of his own children’s lives. He cares about nothing other than his own benefit.
Dev vs Raghubir: Power vs truth
Armed with the truth, Dev confronts Raghubir while the Olympic selections are taking place. While Ravi defeats one opponent after another, Dev is left numb at his father’s emotionless confession. Having lost everything on the quest for the truth, Dev is left in shambles and points a gun at his father, but the police arrive just then. A confrontation takes place, and although the series ends on a cliffhanger, it’s pretty evident that Dev does shoot Raghubir.

The scene is emotionally loaded. On one hand, Ravi finally fulfils Raghubir’s dream of going to the Olympics, while on the other, this explosive truth threatens to destroy everything. Dev refuses to let anyone remember his father as the man who trained an Olympic athlete and promises to expose his truth to the world as he realises that their relationship with their father has always been about control, sacrifice and silence.
Ravi’s parallel arc: A different choice
Ravi, on the other hand, through his illicit affair with Bharti, comes to the realisation that he doesn’t have to go on this destructive path and can choose to be happy as well. Bharti probably put that thought in his head to push him out of her way, but he runs with it and promises to go back to boxing and to the Olympics.

From then on, it symbolises two different paths for the two brothers – while Ravi puts Gudiya’s mu*der behind him and walks away, Dev is consumed by vengeance and the unfair end his sister met. Ravi’s decision to be successful is more about finding peace and following his dreams rather than living for others. Unbeknownst to him, he was completely manipulated by everyone around him on this predetermined path that he thinks is his own.
What the ending really means

Glory showcases how the two brothers eventually lost everything thanks to Raghubir’s one selfish decision. While Dev gains the truth, it emotionally devastates him, and Ravi gains a sense of purpose and self but loses the battle for control. Meanwhile, Raghubir’s actions embody the darker side of ambition, one where he can’t see anything beyond his wants and needs and where only he exists. To him, legacy means more than humanity. And, lastly, we see how sometimes, those who are abused turn into abusers while trying to find purpose and control over their lives, like Bharti.
Overall, the show ends on a haunting note, one where the truth doesn’t bring closure. In the end, the Netflix series Glory asks whether the greatness is worth it if it comes at a cost of losing everything.
