Welcome to Chippendales Finale Ending Explained: Does Somen End Up in Prison?

Welcome to Chippendales Finale has dropped and, so have our jaws. No, not due to the show ending on a very high note but, the flat sweep it did that really left us hanging, wanting for more, almost anticipating that hopefully, this might not be the end. With an ending like the one we got in episode eight, it does not look like we are heading anywhere else next.

Welcome to Chippendales is a miniseries created by Robert Siegel that is inspired by Deadly Dance: The Chippendales Murders by K. Scot Macdonald and Patrick MontesDeOca. The seventh episode is titled ‘Paper Is Paper’ and is written by Jenni Konner. Produced by Johnny Videogames, Limelight, Jenni Konner Productions, Leo Michael Productions and 20th Television, the show stars Kumail Nanjiani as Somen Steve Banerjee, Murray Bartlett as Nick De Noia, Annaleigh Ashford as Irene, Dan Stevens as Paul Snider, Juliette Lewis as Denise, Quentin Plair as Otis, Andrew Rannells, Robin de Jesús as Ray Colon and Spencer Boldman as Lance McCrae.

The show consisted of a total of eight episodes, each approximately 40-50 minutes long. The eighth and final episode of Welcome to Chippendales was titled ‘Switzerland’. It was written by Rajiv Joseph and Robert Siegel.

Welcome to Chippendales Finale Ending Explained

In Welcome to Chippendales Episode 8, we find out that Ray might not be so faithful to Somen after all because he is the one responsible to lead the authorities to Somen and, even manipulates him to confess to his sins while wearing a wire and recording him. So, with Somen finally, dragged behind bars what is the aftermath?

Turns out Chippendales as a whole is going to be classified as RICO- Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, due to his one (or, according to us, several) bad moves. In layman’s terms, Somen is a criminal running a criminal organisation is how the law is going to look at him. Thus, every property or thing he owns is going to be seized leaving him and his family that includes Irene and his daughter with absolutely nothing.

Welcome to Chippendales Finale’s next segment pulls a Hulu’s Candy on the go where we see Somen talking to a wounded ghost of Nick in his cell who taunts him for being foolish. Soon enough, there is a buzzing sound that leads the police officers to Somen’s cabin where they find him hanging dead. As this incident happens only hours before he is finally sentenced to life in prison, the authorities are unable to seize anything from Irene and his daughter, leaving his family to inherit the fruit of his labour and lousy decisions.
