Vigilante Episode 7 Preview: When, Where and How to Watch!

Vigilante Episode 7 Preview: Nam Joo-hyuk’s Ji-yong has been in a fix ever since Yoo Ji-tae’s Jo Heon joined the chase for the Vigilante, but now, with him off the case and a new regional leader replacing him, more messy events have transpired. The action-thriller South Korean series (비질란테) is a live-action adaptation of Kim Gyu-sam’s Naver webtoon of the same name. Directed by Choi Jeong-yeol, the K-drama series has been created by Moon Yoo-seok and written for screen by Lee Min-seop. The first two episodes of the show premiered on November 8, 2023, but now we’re headed for the last remaining episodes of the series that will conclude this season’s breathless action and race.

Studio N’s K-drama production marks Joo-hyuk’s return to the small screen following his 2022 K-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One with Kim Tae-ri. The new series looks at him switching roles in the night and assuming the titular responsibility as a vigilante out to serve justice by taking matters into his hands, even if it means taking the bloody route.

Vigilante Kdrama Plot

By day, Kim Ji-yong is the perfect model police academy student, but as soon as the night falls, he switches roles and takes over as a dark hero created by society. Taking matters into his hands, he serves justice in his own way, by directly dealing with criminals who’ve otherwise been let off easy by the system. Ji-yong’s actions find their inspiration in the unjust ruling that let off his mother’s killer without any severe consequences 12 years ago.

Vigilante Cast

The main cast of the show includes Nam Joo-hyuk as Kim Ji-yong, Yoo Ji-tae as Jo Heon, Lee Joon-hyuk as Cho Kang-ok, Kim So-jin as Choi Mi-ryeo, Lee Seung-woo as Min Seon-wook, Kwon Hae-hyo as Professor Lee Jun-yeop, Lee Hae-young as Eom Jae-hyub aka the Vole, Yoon Kyung-ho as Kim Sam-doo and others.

Vigilante Episode 6 Recap

Ji-yong and Kang-ok finally join forces and help Cho Mi-ryeo establish her independent platform to report on the Vigilante case after being sacked from REP025h for having provoked the higher-ups by digging into Sewool’s illegal scandals, and Kim Sam-doo’s connections with the Police Chief, Eom Jae-hyub aka the Vole. Meanwhile, Jo Heon pressures Ji-yong to let go of his Vigilante identity, but is eventually taken off the case.

He still continues to alert Choi Mi-ryeo about how the Vigilante is in her vicinity, which may easily land her in danger too. As he too chases his own leads, he ends on the bad page with Sam-doo’s ruthless handler, Mr Bang. In the end, Ji-yong has to come to his aid to rescue in an unlikely twist for the detective. Vigilante Episode 7 Predictions

The last episode ended with Ji-yong jumping into action to save Jo Heon from Mr Bang and his lackey’s attacks. An injured Heon lay listless on the floor, while Ji-yong walked towards him. In a twist of fate, it may be possible that may as well end up working together despite their starkly opposing moral compasses. Regardless of this opposition and difference between their characters, Ji-yong’s words definitely ignited an inquisitive fire in Jo Heon’s mind about wanting to confirm the Vole’s association with the bad guys, which means that even if they’re completely different people, they’ve still made an impact in each other’s lives whether they like it or not.

Even Ji-yong still continues to refer to him as “sunbae” (term used to call one’s seniors with respect) despite the violent altercation between them. They may still have to work out their differences, but ultimately both of their ways to deal with criminal individuals is quite similar. Additionally, with Sam-doo earnestly pushing to kill Mi-ryeo, Heon and the Vigilante, they’re already on the same side of action whether they like it or not. Will they or will they not put their differences aside to work together? Stay tuned to find out next week!

The next two Vigilante episodes will be exclusively released on Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday.
