Uncoupled is an upcoming romantic comedy series set to be released on Netflix this month. The series is co-created by Emmy winner Darren Starr and Jeffrey Richman, who previously wrote for Frasier and Modern Family. The cast includes Neil Patrick Harris, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks, Marcia Gay Harden and Tuc Watkins.
The official Netflix synopsis of the series reads – Stunned when his longtime boyfriend moves out, a New York City real estate broker faces the prospect of starting over and dating again in his 40s. Michael (Neil Patrick Harris) thought his life was perfect until his partner blindsides him by walking out the door after 17 years.
Overnight, Michael has to confront two nightmares, losing what he thought was his soulmate and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City. Uncoupled is a story about heartbreak, healing, and all the humour we find along the way. In the trailer, we can see our new single lead, trying to get into the modern dating scene after almost 2 decades of being in a relationship.

Based on queer lead, will the upcoming series be an adult version of the recently released Heartstopper series, which melted our hearts with its sweet cuteness? Neil Patrick Harris is impeccable in comedic roles and looking at the plot and the trailer, we can definitely expect to laugh, cry and binge-watch the series when it drops on the platform.
