The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 7 Review: Love Affair

A drunk Belly called Laurel in the last episode, so it was pretty clear that the mother is going to make her move in this one which can potentially save it all up. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 7 starts off with Laurel’s entry to the beach house, she is angry and upset and mad at Belly and Steven for what they have been doing. But, there is a sense of catharsis when she finally breaks down and lets her real self out talking about Susannah’s death with Belly.

This already sounds like the season finale, right? Well, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 7 has that vibe but, it is important to remember that there is still one episode to go. In one word, this episode is all about coming to a consensus. There is a sense of understanding between the characters that had been lacking throughout the entire season and, we are glad Laurel is able to bridge that gap.

Laurel and Julia have a talk that no one could and we get to know Julia better- her inhibitions, motivations and more. Laurel brings a sense of stability to the plot and the entire beach house scene.

As Laurel hands this side of the plot, we have the Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah love triangle going on. We see the brothers also find common ground as they talk to each other by the beach. Belly is a common point here but, they decide to be brothers first and help each other. All of this leads to a fun sleepover night and a feeling of being free from the burden all of the characters have been carrying throughout the season.

Belly’s sad confusion finds solidity as she leans towards Jeremiah. There is enough evidence in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 7 to show that Jere is the pick but, the tension still exists between the three.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 7: Final Thoughts
