The Sound of Magic: New Stills of Ji Chang-wook’s Netflix Series Look Promising

The Sound of Magic, a new Korean show, will make its entry on Netflix next month. The Kdrama stars Ji Chang-Wook as Lee-Eul, Hwang In-Yeop as Yoon A-Yi and Hwang In-Yeop as Na Il-Deung. The show is based on ‘Annarasumanara’, a webcomic from the year 2010-2011.

The Korean show is an emotional musical drama directed by Kim Seong-yoon and written by Kim Min Jeong. A few hours ago, Netflix Korea shared some new stills of the magical Kdrama series. In these stills, we see Ji Chang-wook dressed as the magician. The Sound of Magic still also features other actors who will play a key role in the series.

The plot summary of the show reads, “The Sound of Magic is an emotional music drama about Yoon Ah-yi, a normal high school student who has wanted to be a magician since she was a child. She desired to grow more quickly in order to realise her ambition. Then she meets Lee Eul, an adult magician who wishes to travel back in time and stay a child. Her life changes when she meets him and decides to pursue her ambition full-time.”

Netflix’s official synopsis for The Sound of Magic reads, “A magician living in an abandoned theme park makes troubles disappear, and hope reappear, for a disenchanted teen enduring harsh realities.”

The star cast also includes Lee Sang-hwa, Hong Seo-hee, Yoo Jae-myung and Ji Hye-won.

Meanwhile, during the show’s shooting in July 2021, the Healer actor had tested positive for COVID-19. Ji Chang-wook, along with the other crew member, were in self-quarantine for a few days. The filming resumed in August and was completed in the next few weeks.

The Sound of Magic is scheduled to release on Netflix on May 6, 2022.
