The Sound of Magic Season 2: Will Ji Chang-wook and Choi Sung-eun’s Netflix Korean Drama Return?

The Sound of Magic, starring Ji Chang-wook, Choi Sung-eun, and Hwang In-youp released last Friday. The musical fantasy Korean drama received a good response. However, fans wanted more as the Kdrama had only 6 episodes. Many couldn’t get enough of Chang-wook’s performance as Ri Eul and his camaraderie with Sung-eun Ah-Yi.

In the last episode, Ah-Yi performs a magic trick and makes Ri Eul disappear. We also learn about the real culprit behind the death of Ah-Yi’s schoolmate. The same person also attacked the older woman on the streets. So Ri Eul is not guilty anymore. So, after all the drama that happened in the last episode, will there be more for the viewers with season 2?

Will there be The Sound of Magic Season 2?

It is rare for Netflix to renew a Korean show after one season. TSOM ended on a satisfying no. In the end, we meet grown-up Ah-Yi, whose life isn’t severely challenging anymore. She now works as a magician and performs these tricks to entertain kids. The only question that’s left unanswered is about Ri Eul’s disappearance. But that’s an open-end, and makers probably want viewers to have their own interpretations.

Netflix has not announced a new season yet. The plot doesn’t have much to tell in a new season. So the chances of a second season are highly unlikely. However, if Netflix has a fantastic script and wants to dive us deep into Ri Eul’s magical world again, we might get a new season. But so far, there is no update about the Kdrama’s renewal.
