The Mosquito Coast 2 Trailer: Fox Family Can’t Evade the Danger

The trailer for the second season of The Mosquito Coast dropped on the official platform and features the fox family living in their new home off the grid. The critically acclaimed series is about a genius inventor who relocates his family to evade the the government of United States of America. Moreover, the series is based on the novel of the same name by Paul Theroux.

The star cast of the series includes Justin Theroux as Allie Fox, Melissa George as Margot, Logan Polish as Dina, Gabriel Bateman as Charlie, Kimberly Elise as Estelle Jones, James LeGros as Don Voorhees, Ian Hart as Bill Lee, Paterson Joseph as Calaca, Ofelia Medina as Lucrecia, Kevin Dunn, Kate Burton, and Emily Chang. Furthermore, the series is created by  Tom Bissell and Neil Cross.

The official synopsis reads “Allie, Margot, Dina and Charlie continue their adventure on the lam, as they make their way through the Mexican rainforest and ultimately land in a seemingly idyllic community called Casa Rojas, led by the resolute Isela. While each person grapples with their own journey and acclimates to their new life “off the grid,” they soon discover that Casa Rojas breeds its own dark secrets and agenda.”

The trailer picks up right from the end of season one where the fox family was forced to live off-grid after the United States government waged a search-out mission. The two-minute eight-second trailer features the family members adjusting to their new life off the coast, and the fresh set of troubles which soon arrive in their life.

While the government tries to bring them to justice, the family gets engulfed in a local drug lord conflict. Which makes Margot looser her patience and ache for a normal life. The clip ends with Margot making a deal with the government, which will decide the ultimate future of Allie and his family.

Furthermore, the Freemantle production series is also loosely based on a 1986 film starring Harrison Ford. Which in turn was inspired by the original novel.
