Hannah’s conversations with Avett, the CEO of the shop, reveal that Owen had a reputation for being impulsive and unpredictable, which could have played a role in his disappearance. Meanwhile, Bailey’s visit to the stadium sparks memories of her past with Owen, including the realization that they were at the place, for a brief period of time.

When the church women meet up and compare notes, she reveals that there was no record of a marriage in the year 2011. Moreover, when Hannah’s friend comes out with the details, she learns that Owen and Bailey don’t have legal records. The episode also dwells on the sub-plot of a police marshal, trying to help the duo of stepmother and daughter through his rigged means. The Marshal discovers the missing bag of money at their house and learns about Owen’s involvement in the complete saga.
