The First Responders Season 2 Stills: Kim Rae-won, Gong Seung-yeon Keep the Light On as the Thriller K-drama’s Core Team

New The First Responders Season 2 stills are sparking heat on the internet as fans of the first season can’t wait for the new instalment to kickoff already. The first season premiered on SBS TV on November 12, and culminated its run after 12 episodes concluding in December, 2022, with weekly runs on Friday and Saturday.

Starring Kim Rae-won as Jin Ho-gae, Son Ho-jun as Bong Do-jin and Gong Seung-yeon as Song Seol in the lead roles, the series was helmed by director Shin Kyung Soo and written by Min Ji Eun. Jung Jin-woo, Lee Jung-hu, Ji Woo, Jung Sang-hoon, Kang Gi-doong, Son Ji-yoon, Woo Mi-hwa, Seo Hyun-chul, Lee Hwa-jung and others were also seen playing supporting roles in Season 1.

On July 6, 2023, SBS’ SNS handles released a series of new image teasers featuring its three pivotal characters – Jin Ho-gae, Bong Do-jin and Song Seol. Catching them in full-action gritty action mode, netizens instantly expressed their anticipation and excitement for the upcoming season in the comments under the post.

Originally titled 소방서 옆 경찰서, the K-drama is centred around the emergency premise with Jin Ho-gae leading the cause as a stubborn police officer with his unconventional means and ways of resolving cases. His team forms a joint response field log with firefighters, with Bong Do-jin and Song Seol fronting the cause. Together, the dauntless trio fight crime and catch fires to save as many innocent lives as possible, and then some more.

The new pictures linked below capture Kim Rae-won sporting his old role as the titular police officer. These scenes not only see him off-field, but also in action, donning the firefighting gear. Other stills picture him visiting the National Forensic Service as well. His charismatic sombre outlook is bound to win over the audience yet again this season.

In another set of pictures, Gong Seung-yeon’s Song Seol plays her role to best of her abilities as the paramedic at Taewon Fire Station by bringing young lives to safety, and also stepping into the scene of the fire with the firefighters. The third and the last series of images gives us a look at Son Ho-jun’s Bong Do-jin, a fire investigator at the same fire station, jumping into action and taking the lead as the core members of fire investigation.
