-The First Responders Season 2 Episode 9 Recap Contains Spoilers-

The episode started with the doctors conducting an autopsy on Lawyer Yang, who was murdered brutally. The new doctor, Han Se-jin begins the procedure and finds out some important aspects of the case. As he checks the inner parts, he finds out that there are missing organs inside the body. One of the lungs, the liver and one of the kidneys is missing from inside the body. The organs were taken out through the evident incisions made at the chest of the body.

However, much about the intention of the killer could not be found from the autopsy alone. After further investigation, they narrowed it down to a potential suspect. It is the father of Ma Tae-hwa’s victim, whom he had murdered. The victim’s family went through a lot following the extremely publicised case, and the mother took her own life. The father faced a lot of financial loss and was living in the woods. Both Ho-gae and Pil go to his residence to meet with the suspect.

Upon meeting with him, they find out that the man is living in extremely poor conditions. They ask him questions and find out that he might not have been the culprit. However, when they reveal that the lawyer is dead, he rejoices at the news. But they realised that he may not have been the criminal, and they left the scene.

Doctor Sae-jin looked over at the organs that they collected from the body once again. During his investigation, he finds out some glaring details. He goes to the police station along with Song Seol to reveal all the information to the police. Ho-gae, Pil and the entire team arrive at the scene promptly.

Sae-jin reveals that the lung and the liver were taken out in an extremely hasty manner. Which means that the organs taken out could no longer be useful to anybody. However, the kidney was taken out in perfect condition. When Ho-gae hears this, he realises that Ma Tae-hwa was recently admitted to the hospital for kidney failure, and it could be him who ordered him to kill the lawyer. Ho-gae arrives at the hospital but finds that there is someone else on the bed instead of Tae-hwa, and he escapes the premises.

The police find a finger print at the scene, and it belongs to the first suspect. They go back to the forest, but the man is already dead, and a few syringes lie on his body. Ho-gae’s father makes a call and tells him that the death of Tae-hwa’s father might have been a murder. They bring out the body and begin to conduct an autopsy, and the episode ends on that note.
