Best K-drama Frenemies: Friendship Day 2023 is making its way to us soon and spending this day with your friend and a whole set of Kdramas ready to binge is what makes it extra special. Now, Kdramas have got all kinds of friendships to witness, but the ones we love the most (and find entertaining) have to be those that go from enemies to friends forever.

Starting with the competition, fights, and just pure hatred for each other to later becoming buddies that cannot be separated for life. These frenemies not only get us cracking but also melt our hearts with the way they understand each other better than anyone else on the show.

Thus, to make this day extra special, we’ve got for you a little list of the best K-drama frenemies that we cannot stop loving. So get yourselves ready to spend this day in the Kdrama binge way, and without further ado, here’s the list!

7 Best K-drama Frenemies We Love

Goblin and Grim Reaper

When it comes to recalling friendship and especially one that began on a very crooked track, we cannot help but start with Goblin The Lonely and Great God characters Kim Shin the goblin and the grim reaper. The two really brought a new meaning to friendship (one that really did last more than a lifetime) and gave us warmth and laughter whenever they came together.

The show itself is a must-watch for every Kdrama lover because this show is certainly more than just a love story. Especially Kim Shin and his grim reaper friend who bring a new side to “being cool”.

Lee Su-ho and Han Seo-jun

True Beauty was the perfect rom-com that was loved by all, however, who can ever forget the roller coaster we felt with the interaction between Su-ho and Seo-jun. Their friendship was one that saw many ups and downs, from the loss of a friend to meeting again after years and then falling for the same girl. These two are really two peas in a pod.

Su-ho and Seo-jun not only charmed us with their friendship but also got us tangled in their beauty trap which only made it harder for us to choose a team. Certainly, even in the end, we fell for them both and never stopped wishing for their happiness.

An Min-hyuk and In Gook-doo

The crush and the love of our Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is a duo that has remained unforgettable for us all. Their steamy drunk dance and the swing Bong-soon felt in their company were no less entertaining than any other duo on this list. While the two ended up as love rivals who finally got along well, their interaction has been one of the most entertaining yet.

With Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon bringing us a sequel of the show and our protagonist couple making a special appearance, let’s hope we also get to see these two men together one last time as well.

Kim Tan and Choi Young-do

Another classic example of frienemies has to be The Heirs Kim Tan and Choi Young-do who are definitely the oldest in this list. The two brought us some really entertaining moments whenever together which only made their later heartmelting moment even more impactful for us all.

This is why even after 10 years since the show broadcasted, we cannot forget the duo who only brought the show to another level.

Kang Mo-yeon and Yoon Myung-joo

In a world filled with bromances, Mo-yeon and Myung-joo from Descendants of the Sun brought in a frenemy relationship like no other. While their Yoon-gi oppa may have begun their hatred for each other, it didn’t take long for them to team up when facing their jealous boyfriends.

The two really brought in a new side to frienemies and their support for each other only made us fall for this show more than ever.

Oh In-joo and Choi Do-il

The one duo we really don’t want to see on this list is the Little Women duo In-joo and Do-il who really did go from enemies to friends. The bond between these two took quite a long time to build a trusting relationship (no one knows this bumpy ride better than the audience) and it was well worth it.

However, things did go downhill when we kept waiting for more only to be disappointed by the unforgettable hug that the two shared at the end. Finally, these two now made it to the friendship list after going through a journey where they first wanted to kill each other to later trust each other with their lives.

Jang Uk and Go Won

Finally, we have the golden couple of 2022-23 that really made us see rainbows with their moments. Alchemy of Souls was a whole package and even with the many things happening on the show, Jang Uk and the crown prince Go Won’s relationship stood out like no other. These two are a perfect addition to this list and the progress in their relationship was a joy to witness.

The two really brought in one of the best relationships on the show, their tension and joys shared brought out more colours to the show that we all fell in love with.
