Destined With You Episode 2 Reactions: Hong-jo’s Love Spell and Shin-yu’s Red Hand Mystery Have Netizens Intrigued

Destined With You Episode 2 reactions have got viewers discussing on X (Twitter) about the mysterious plot of the show. Starring SF9 member Rowoon and Jo Bo-ah in the lead, the drama (이 연애는 불가항력) has been directed by Nam Ki-hoon. It also stars Ha Jun, and Yura in key roles. The series revolves around the characters of Jang Shin-yu and Hong Jong-ho, who share a surprising connection from the past.

The show premiered its first episode on August 23, 2023, and it airs on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM, KST time slot. It is also available for international streaming on Netflix. The fantasy romance drama also has an impressive supporting cast of Hyeon Bong-sik, Lee Bong-ryun, Park Kyung-hye, and Song Young-kyu.

The series’ plot revolves around Lee Hong-jo (Jo Bo-ah), a civil servant working at City Hall in Onju and Jang Shin-yu (Rowoon), a lawyer from a notable family. The two are connected via a forbidden book that was sealed 300 years ago and has now come into Hong-jo’s possession. Turns out the book holds key answers to Shin-yu’s deteriorating health condition due to a curse. How Hong-jo helps save Shin-yu through the help of the book is what is left to see.

The second episode of the show gave a first glimpse of the wooden box that contains the book. It was found by Shin-yu at the haunted shrine during demolition, and he hands it over to Hong-jo after learning that she is the destined owner of it. The episode further shows how she tries to open the mysterious box, and a glimpse of what lies inside is also shown.

Among the episode’s shocking moments that got people talking included the cliffhanger ending as Hong-jo was seen casting a love spell with the help of the book she found in the wooden box. Viewers discussed the mystery surrounding the connection between the spell and Shin-yu’s state at the end of the episode. The final moment of the episode showcased him getting grasped by the red hand, and the creepy nature of the same has left fans intrigued further.
