The Entitled Ending Explained: Is Belinda Proven Innocent? Will She End Up With the Attorney?

Netflix’s latest release The Entitled is directed by Theodore Boborol and written by Noreen Capili. Alex Gonzaga plays the central role in the film as Belinda. She is joined by other cast members that include Johnny Revilla, Ara Mina, JC de Vera, Andrea Abaya and Melai Cantiveros amongst others. The film is a romantic comedy with a runtime of 90 minutes.

The Entitled is about a poor girl named Belinda who discovers her rich and wealthy businessman father and tries to fit into their classy family. However, she faces a lot of obstacles in making the lifestyle shift. Although she is helped by the housemaid, Nanny Mo and the attorney named Jacob who she strikes a romance with, the help she receives might not be genuine. And, with an evil stepmother involved things take a harsh turn for Belinda soon.

The Entitled Ending Explained

Towards the end of The Entitled, we see Belinda has finally managed to improve herself to fit in with the new rich world she is part of. However, we realize that attorney Jacob who has been helping her is also involved in a plan with the stepmother, Matilda to throw Belinda out of the family. He is reluctant to follow the plan as he is in love with Belinda, even though Matilda offers to make him the COO of the company. But, when Matilda threatens him that she will reveal that the plan was by Jacob all along to Enrico (Belinda’s father and his boss), he complies.

He makes Belinda sign some documents with the trust he shares with her after avoiding her for some time. Due to the papers she signs, Belinda is cornered by Enrico for the company’s loss of 30 million pesos. Belinda says to her father that she is not aware of the loss of money and that she did not steal it but, her father does not believe her. She leaves the watch Enrico gifted her and moves back to the village she came from.

Ridden with guilt after Belinda’s going away, Jacob confesses to Enrico how he executed Matilda’s plan. By this time Enrico has done some of his own diggings and found out the truth for himself. He visits Belinda in her village and apologises to her. He also reveals that there is been an arrest warrant issued for Matilda and that Enrico and Matilda are getting an annulment. When Belinda asks why Matilda would do something like that Enrico says that they signed a prenuptial agreement, which Enrico thought Matilda was okay with but, soon started stealing from the company. Their daughter Catilyn will stay with Enrico.

Enrico asks Belinda to return. However, Belinda reveals how she shouldn’t be entitled to all his money and status just by being his daughter. She suggests wanting to finish her studies and applying at Enrico’s hotel after graduation. Enrico is glad to hear his daughter’s thoughts and the two hug.

Later, Attorney Jacob visits Belinda and accepts his fault. Initially, Belinda is mad at him but, by the end, the two make up with a kiss by the sea shore flaunting a beautiful sunset.
