After the events involving Sylvia, Arthur continues his journey and soon encounters a new kind of challenge. This time, he comes across a group of bandits who have taken a young elf captive with the intent to sell her into slavery. As he faces them, Arthur realises they resemble the kind of people responsible for the tragedy that struck his own family. Fueled by the pain of not being able to protect his loved ones back then, he is now resolute in his desire to save the elf girl.

Drawing on his improved combat skills, Arthur swiftly defeats the bandits and rescues her. The girl stirs a sense of familiarity in him, perhaps reminding him of someone from his past. Although he initially plans to part ways with her, he soon recognises that she is just a regular child, vulnerable and unable to fend for herself. Understanding this, Arthur chooses to accompany her back to her homeland before resuming his quest.

During their travels, Arthur gains insight into his own character. He begins to see the contrast between himself and the girl, realising that she behaves much more like a typical child her age, whereas he often acts far beyond his years. She introduces herself as Tessia, revealing that she hails from the elven lands.

The journey brings Arthur a rare sense of calm. Tessia becomes his first real companion, even affectionately calling him “Art.” Her presence brings him comfort but also stirs memories of friendships lost in his previous life. Through this bond, it becomes clear that Arthur once had meaningful connections that were tragically cut short.

In this episode, we find out more about the mysterious girl Tessia the moment Arthur and Tessia enter the portal that goes through a tree. On the other side of the portal, we see the land of the elves, which is supposed to be extremely beautiful and pristine than what we have seen before in the human world. However, the most shocking aspect is that Tessia is actually the Princess of the elves, and her parents are the king and queen.

Not only that, but they are also very glad to see someone helping their daughter, and even though they are mistrustful of humans, they welcome Arthur after some commotion. Here, Arthur quickly adjusts and tells the elves about what happened with the slaves and how he defeated them to protect their Princess. They promise to help Arthur reach his family, and though they are careful of him at first, they become indebted to him.

In this land of elves, Arthur also gets closer to Tessia, who becomes sad that her first friend will leave her soon. However, Arthur also earns a chance to fight a mock duel with Tessia’s grandfather, who quickly realises his potential. He even goes as far as to offer Arthur the position of his apprentice, a statement that is too good to be true. However, as Arthur’s parents still do not know that he is alive, this decision is too difficult for him to take as of now.

Whether he will agree to this proposition or not is something that you will have to find out after watching this episode. Today’s episode showcased a lot more animation and potential for this show to become a decent anime. However, I will still not label it as something good. If you are an ardent fan of this series, you might want to continue. But other than that, there is nothing here that you haven’t seen before.
