Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer: The Horrifying Return of Leatherface and Sally Hardesty

Netflix just released the Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer and, it is has sent nostalgic as well as scary shivers down everyone’s spines. The 2022 film is the ninth instalment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. It is directed by David Blue Garcia and written by Chris Thomas Devlin, inspired by the original story co-written by Fede Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues. This upcoming slasher film is going to serve as the sequel 1974 film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

The next-in-franchise film will focus on the iconic serial killer Leatherface who has come back after years. The villain is now targeting a group of young friends and, will also draw a vengeful conflict with the survivor of his previous murders- Sally Hardesty. But, the question of Sally’s survival this time still hangs in the air, even though she seems ready to take down the villain with a gun if needed.

Netflix’s YouTube handle describes the upcoming film- “After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.”

The film is jointly produced by Legendary Pictures, Bad Hombre, and Exurbia Films. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) is going to feature Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Mark Burnham, Jacob Latimore, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Jessica Allain, and Nell Hudson. We are also going to see John Larroquette reprise in his role as the film’s narrator, as we have seen him in the original film as well as in the 2003 remake.

Well, looks like Scream is not the only franchise going through the reboot game, right? Meanwhile, stay tuned as the film is arriving on Netflix on February 18, 2022.
