Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 (구미호뎐 1938) is a sequel to the much-loved fantasy Kdrama of the same named and is directed by Kang Shin-hyo and Jo Nam-hyung. The Kdrama stars Lee Dong-wook, Kim So-yeon, Kim Bum, Ryu Kyung-soo, Kim Young-ji, and Hwang Hee alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings the gumiho Lee Yeon away from his happy ending and back to the year 1938 where he once again comes face to face with his brother Lee Rang and Ryu Hong-joo. Now, he has to find a way to return to the present and to his loved one, but this isn’t something that will come to him easily.
Episodes 9 and 10 ended on a note like no other as the Fox brothers fall into deeper troubles, but the trembles that we have been left with are like none other. Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 brought a new season of this mystical story and has not failed to keep us on our toes with each episode. With new tasks that just walk into Yeon’s life as he waits to return home, this season has given us a good time with the godly trio’s exchange.
Now as the season slowly moves towards the end, the excitement we have held all along has only increased because the plot has definitely built itself well for this finale. However, while we all wish for happy endings, this is an expectation that we cannot hold for long when it comes to this fantasy tale.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938: What to Expect in Episodes 11 and 12?
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 episode 10 ended with Yeon finding himself stuck in an enemy’s body and finding out that the real leader of the Japanese demons is still inside Bando Hotel. Already worried for friends who are being lured into a trap by Nyudo, he now also worries for his brother Rang.
Meanwhile, Rang has troubles of his own as he rushes to save Yeo-hee after she was bitten by one of the Yachas. Unaware that a bigger danger stands right behind him, Rang needs to race against time to save Yeo-hee because the ladies of Myeoyeonggak are ready to kill Yeo-hee in order to save themselves.
The Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 episode 11 preview had to be the most shocking yet expected, however, was also the one that captured us all kind of a clip. While we can see the dangers that are slowly entering the lives of the one fighting for Joseon (intentionally or unintentionally). So let us slowly go through what could happen in the upcoming episodes.
Yeo-hee’s End
The preview of the upcoming episode has already finalised a tragic end for Yeo-hee; while she may not have been killed by Yuki, it is quite clear that she has been kidnapped for the experiments. Also, it seems to me that her voice is the key to the success of the experiments conducted by Ryuhei Kato.
Rang’s End
With Yeo-hee captured and most probably tortured, Rang is definitely not going to sit back and watch. From the preview, we can see him ready to take Yeon and go extract his revenge, however, it doesn’t seem like getting Yeon to help him would be easy. Helping Rang right now would be a risky task for Yeon because it is time for him to go, thus, the choice he makes right now will have an impact on the future of these two brothers and could also bring a change that we wouldn’t have seen coming.

Moo-young’s End
The root of everything that is happening right now is definitely in trouble and it seems like he has brought a bigger problem for Yeon to solve. After finding out what he has been up to from Taluipa, the fear and worry on Yeon’s face is clear which means that he hasn’t revealed everything related to his brother’s death to Moo-young. The consequences that these two gave to face are not looking very optimistic but let’s hope that Moo-young is safe because of some miracle.
Hong-joo’s End
Hong-joo has definitely one of the best characters in this season and for more reasons than one. Her straightforward personality comes with some wit and mischief is one that we love, but there are only two outcomes for her future. Either she carries on with her life at Myeoyeonggak with Moo-young by her side or she is destined for death with him. Let us hope for the former.
Yeon’s Return
While Yeon is sure to return to Ji-ah, the return is sure to be dramatic and filled with a hint of pain. Along with this, it looks like there is also some room for regret and for a surprise that is sure to fill us with some happiness. His return could also have a special someone waiting for him back home other than Ji-ah.
Taluipa
Finally, we can look forward to a big revelation from Taluipa’s side because it looks to me like the events of this whole season may have her hand in it. The happy endings of the characters depend on her and finding out what she has been planning (that is if she is) is sure to leave us speechless.
Altogether, this season of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 is one that we all needed and is sure to leave us wishing for more. This is especially so for the mountain gods trio that has really got us excited for more interaction between them.
