Will Netflix’s Korean Reality Series Siren Survive the Island Have a Second Season?

Twitter is already buzzing with demands for Siren Survive the Island Season 2 and, we can completely understand why. Netflix’s latest Korean reality show has been one fine watch and it definitely something that needs to have more seasons. It empowers women as it shows the brilliance of teamwork and communication. There is thrill as there are moments of pure adoration and there is nothing more we can ask!

The Korean reality show is created by Lee Eun-Kyung and produced by Ko Min-gu. With Studio Modak being the quintessential production banner, this Netflix show has a cast featuring females from various professional segments such as police officers, firefighters, bodyguards, soldiers, athletes and stunt actors. There are a total of ten episodes in the show. However, previously only five have been released, the rest have dropped on June 6, 2023. The runtime for each episode is 50-60 minutes.

When Will Siren Survive the Island Season 2 Release?

In Siren Survive the Island Season 1, we saw some lovely women from the areas of the male-dominated professions of the world come together to form teams and compete against each other. The show’s format and concept promoted both entertainment and empowerment which is by far the best thing about it. The series felt like Physical 100 but, well, remove all the men from the show and make it conceptually better and you get this.

As we are thankful to Netflix for producing something as brilliant as this show, it always makes us wonder if there is something more. As of now, there has been no official word released on the possibility of season two. However, seeing how popular the show has become in such a short period of time, it would not be surprising to see Netflix renew this show.

The OTT platform has always had a good range of Korean shows, be it reality shows or dramas, which is what makes us hopeful that Siren Survive the Island Season 2 will happen sooner or later.
