Summer Time Render Episode 15 Overview
Summer Time Render is the latest anime by the Anime Studio OLM, previously known for producing critically and commercially acclaimed anime like Komi Can’t Communicate and Odd Taxi. Ayumu Watanabe directs the series, a director whose career so far has been intrinsically linked with OLM, having previously directed Komi Can’t Communicate and Space Brothers for the studio. The anime is based on a manga written by Yasunori Tanaka.

Summer Time Render Episode 15 Review- Humans Fight back!
After getting steam-sniped in the last episode, Shinpei has gotten a little sweaty in his defence of this island. That’s nothing to worry about, however, as it is now time to show these cheaters that Shinpei and the gang have hacks of our own to give them the edge against the shadows. Long gone are the days when he spent all of his time being three steps behind their enemies. This was finally the time when we got to see that the battle wasn’t as one-sided as we thought.

It is going to be hard to overstate how good this episode was. If this were this show’s peak, no one would complain or think that anything was amiss, and seeing as how consistently great this show has been so far, this is a huge compliment to give it. Most shows usually save this kind of episode for their last or second-to-last outings. It featured everything we have seen the characters do so far being used to perfection, and it doesn’t even feel like the show is at its peak yet. There are a lot of stories left to tell, still (9 episodes worth, to be precise), and the show has already kicked into the final gear.
This was the episode which combined all that we had learned so far about Ushio’s powers, Shinpei’s Time-Rendering abilities, Hizuru’s past, and the knowledge that everyone, including Mio. Sou, and Nokiko, had been able to reliably gather throughout all of Shinpei’s loops and use it in a manner that belied all expectations staked upon them. There was a showcase that essentially served as a preview of what humans were actually capable of if they knew what they were walking into, just like Haine always seems to.

The animation in this episode was tremendous as it featured more action than ever present in the show before. The movement looked fluid, smooth, and natural while compromising none of the show’s already phenomenal static shots and character frames. It was also accompanied by some of the best music we have heard from the show, giving this episode that “complete package” feel that is essential for any episode to be deemed a classic in its right.
But the best of it all was the plot implications of it all. Everything that happened here made logical sense, or it least gave off the sense that it would be elaborated upon in the future, and the audience wouldn’t be left hanging. Shinpei also proved to be a lot more than the useless protagonist some people deemed him to be at the start of the series, as his abilities as a human almost complement his powers perfectly. There wasn’t a single flaw to be found here, and it was a glorious outing that proved how good this show is.
Verdict
Summer Time Render Episode 15 was a phenomenal outing that did everything right and featured some great storytelling combined with fantastic action, animation, and music. What else can you ask for?
