Who Are the Social Currency Contestants? Where Are They Now?

The first season of Social Currency has come to an end, and we can’t take our eyes off the beautiful contestants who have a flair for making some kickass content. With 21 days in hand and several shocking challenges hurled their way, these influencers will have a field day to manoeuvre these shocking twists while also coming face to face with contestants who are exactly like them as they try to win INR 5 million in the end!

The reality TV show created by Fazila Allana, Kamna Menezes, Sanvari Alagh Nair, Meghana Badola, and Chad Greulach and features content creators Vagmita Singh, Sakshi Chopra, Ruhi Singh, Mridul Madhok, Parth Samthaan, Bhavin Bhanushali, Aakash Mehta, and Rowhi Rai. The series also features Sunny Leone, Kusha Kapila, Ashish Chanchlani, and Badshah as special guests and has 8 episodes, each with a runtime of around 40-50 minutes.

Social Currency Contestants

1. Vagmita Singh

Vagmita is a popular influencer and content creator who majorly makes videos focusing on mental health, women’s issues and tons of rants, along with a host of other content. She is from Jaipur and came to Mumbai to pursue English Literature. In the show, Vagmita mentions that she loves writing and forms good bonds with Parth and Aakash. With 417k followers on Instagram, her content is readable, funny and hits right at home!

2. Sakshi Chopra

Sakshi is Ramanand Sagar’s great-granddaughter, who produced Doordarshan’s famous serial Ramayan. With 551k followers on Instagram, the social media influencer has shared her plans to become a famous singer. On the show, she mentions that she lives in America and became good friends with Vagmita.

3. Ruhi Singh

Ruhi Singh is famous for appearing in several movies and web series, including the Emmy-nominated The World Before Her. She was also a part of Femina Miss India, along with several other modelling shows. With 2.2 million followers on Instagram, it is evident that this creator has already won several hearts in different spheres and on the show, she decided to support women’s rights fiercely and shared a sweet friendship with Rowhi.

4. Mridul Madhok

A Delhi boy, Mridul is a content creator who mainly focuses on fashion, fitness and healthcare-related content. With 2.3M followers on Instagram, he won everyone over with his confidence and positive attitude.

5. Parth Samthaan

Parth is a well-known face in the villa as he has starred in several serials, including Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, along with several others. With 4M followers, his fan following was evident even on the show, with not only passer-bys recognising him, but Rowhi also nursing a crush for the talented actor! In the show, he starts off quite shy and introverted by slowly peels off those layers to leave everyone shocked.

6. Bhavin Bhanushali

Bhavin, an actor, producer and singer, wears all of these hats with ease. Thanks to his manifold talents, he has amassed a social media following of 4.9M and has showcased his spontaneous and fun-loving side on the show as well! He was known in the show as being loyal and loving, although his huge follower count did make everyone a bit intimidated!

7. Aakash Mehta 

Aakash Mehta is a stand-up comedian who also dabbles in acting and podcasting. Although he started off in the series as the one with the lowest followers but ends up winning the entire show with his wit and careful strategising!

8. Rowhi Rai

Rowhi’s entry to the show was marked by high enthusiastic screeching and giggling that left everyone shocked. After creating a sweet relationship with everyone on the show, she became close friends with Ruhi, with whom she vibed the most. She posts content about fashion and comedy to her 446K-strong Instagram followers!
