Planning to Watch Sintonia Season 3? Here’s a Recap of Everything that Happened in Season 1 and 2

Sintonia Season 3 is almost here and, what better time than now to quickly recap the Brazilian crime teen drama. Created and directed by Kondzilla, this Netflix title is based on an original idea by Kondzilla himself. Written by Guilherme Quintella, Duda de Almeida and Thays Berbe, Johnny Araújo also serves as the director for the series.

Sintonia stars Christian Malheiros as Luiz Fernando Silva aka Nando, Jottapê as Donizete Santana da Costa aka Doni and Bruna Mascarenhas as Rita, in the main roles. They are joined by other cast members including MC M10 as Formiga, Vinícius de Oliveira as Éder, Rosana Maris as Jussara, Danielle Olímpia as Cacau, Julia Yamaguchi as Scheyla, Leilah Moreno as MC Dondoka, Júlio Silvério as Jaspion, Jefferson Silvério as Rivaldinho, Fabrício Araújo as Juninho, Vanderlei Bernardino as Mr. Chico, Fernanda Viacava as Sueli, Felipe Vidal as Stephano and Martha Meola as Lucrécia. The series has six episdoes every season, with 12 episodes in total.

Sintonia Season 1 Recap

Set against the background of São Paulo’s favelas, the show introduces us to our three protagonists- Doni, Nando and Rita. A family in themselves Doni is the baby of the group, aspiring to be a MC/rapper and have a dream life, followed by Rita, who is constantly hustling ot make her life better and Nando, who aims to move in quickly within the ranks of the drug cartel he works for.

The first season initially shows us how helpless our main characters are- Doni raps a song which gets stolen from him without any credits or money, Rita’s hustling business gets her close friend Cacao into trouble with the police and Nando kills a man to prove this loyalty and potential to the drug gang. All three work towards solving their own problems and each others’ too.

Doni meets us with the MC who stole his song, and soon enough lands a big deal for himself. Rita seeks shelter in the church run by her dead mother’s best friend and is unknowingly drawn to religion and the power of God. As for Nando, his tricky life gets dangerous and he tries to be powerful for his workspace as well as for his wife and child.

Season one of Sintonia ends on a rather bittersweet note for our characters. Doni, loses his father but, finds fame in the process and has his first TV appearance at the end of season one. Rita and Nando find intrinsic and extrinsic rewards in their own lives with the former getting baptized and the latter getting rewarded by the drug cartel.

Sintonia Season 2 Recap

In comparison to season one, the second season takes a more mature turn in the lives of our protagonists. Doni with his success tries to help Nando get off the streets and not engage in the scum business. Love also seems to be in the air for both Doni and Rita as the former develops a crush on a fellow influencer and the latter meets her Pastor’s son and is likely attracted to him.

As the second season progresses, the group is met with many ups and downs but they don’t forget to hold onto one another. Rita is blessed to become new in charge of the church but, the pressure is a lot. Doni, meanwhile, works towards keeping his fame and name intact. As for Nando, he continues to lead his risky life in the dark and takes up a risky mission that ends in do-or-die.

The second season ends with Doni leaving for his European tour, Rita and Levi tragically parting ways and Nando preparing to welcome his second child with his wife, Shyla. As things move in a tragically beautiful way in each of their lives, Nando’s fraudulent lifestyle makes headlines and the trio ends up watching it.

Sintonia Season 3 Preview

According to Sintonia Season 3 trailer, we see Doni is in Paris and trying his best to boost engagement that will keep him relevant in pop culture along with pursuing his craft. Rita from church has now taken the higher road to run for member of the City Council. Nando welcomes his second child and goes on to lead his powerful life.

But, not everything that glitters is gold. Doni embarks on a different and dark journey that no one is aware of and Rita faces some serious problems in society. And, as for Nando, he gets a gun pointed at his end.
