Silo Episode 1 and 2 Recap

In the first two episodes, we saw that Sheriff Becker and his wife Allison are trying for a baby, after getting permission to reproduce from the higher authorities. However, another woman named Gloria keeps on warning them that curious people like them won’t be able to have a kid. She turns out to be right as the couple is not able to conceive & meanwhile, Allison also discovers an old relic which contained all about Silo’s structure.

Another IT person named George called her to find out the items of the relic, which is illegal to possess. While she warns him to get rid of it, other things make her suspicious of the world they are living in & if the outside world is actually toxic. After picking out another birth control bullet from her body, despite the one that was already removed by the doctor, her suspicions turn right & she asks to get out of the underground, which is considered a crime.

She is then banished to the outside but within minutes, she dies like many before her. Almost 2 years after her death, even George turns up dead in an anonymous manner. His girlfriend, Juliette claims it is murder but Sheriff Becker closes it as a suicide case. But soon, he turns himself in & asks to go out as well. Once he steps out, everything Allison said turns out to be true & the world was actually not toxic. Yet she passes out like everyone just minutes after.

Silo Episode 3 Predictions

The next episode is titled ‘Machines’ and we will see that in the hunt for a new Sheriff, Mayor Jahns will clash with Bernard, while Juliette might strike a deal to keep the generator running. It is unlikely that she will be appointed as the next sheriff since she is required to run the machine but that could work in her favour to get people to do what she really wants. Towards the end of episode 2, she was trying to look for the door that George mentioned and it will be interesting to see what lies behind it. Could it be another way outside or linked to all the secrets about the underground society?

Silo is currently available for streaming on Apple TV+.
