He whispers in Han-byul’s ears and warns her to come to his shooting set if she doesn’t want a cut in her pay. Han-byul gets irritated about having to go to the set but her team members connect that to her and Tae-sung’s dating speculation.

At the shooting set, Tae-sung impresses everyone with his acting but he only wants validation from Han-byul. However, she is busy with her work and is not paying attention to Tae-sung. He dramatically tells Han-byul to leave if she is going to act like this and she leaves for real and doesn’t show up on the set on next day.

Tae-sung wants her on the set because he doesn’t want her to get close with Lawyer Do. When his plan fails, he asks his manager, Byun Jung-yeol to find out information about Do Soo-hyuk. He finds out that Do is very popular among women in their office and he is known as an intelligent and sexy lawyer. Moreover, he is also very rich and has recently gotten closer to Han-byul. Jung-yeol has become part of a group chat about Tae-sung and Han-byul and is also updating them about their relationship status.

When Han-byul goes to her college for a guest lecture, she finds out from her professor that Tae-sung had agreed to appear in their college brochure every year in exchange for discarding the brochure that showed him and Han-byul as a couple. Han-byul then reveals that they were never a couple but she was harassed by her peers because of that misunderstanding. She later thanks Tae-sung for being considerate at that time.

Shooting Stars Episode 5 Review

Shooting Stars Episode 5 is funny and light-hearted. Tae-sung is professional as an actor but is childish when it comes to Han-byul. He doesn’t care about what others think when he smirks at Han-byul any chance he gets. The scene about rumours shows us the tabloid culture and how they make a celebrity’s personal life a form of entertainment. Lawyer Do’s entry into Han-byul’s life has given us a second male lead we’ve been waiting for and he is just what we needed- smart, handsome, kind and can easily beat the main male lead.

Shooting Stars Episode 5 is available to watch on Viki.

  1. hi what is the song used at 42:40 when han byeol is sitting in the cafe with her reporter friend and her manager friend?

    • Hello, it doesn’t sound like a song from the OST. However, you can try listening to Sondia and Vincent Blue’s My Secret, My Everything from the OST which sounds somewhat similar.
