The Seoul Metropolitan Government kicked off its 8-day festival titled the Seoul Festa 2023 on Sunday, April 30, 2023. This festival is said to be an attempt to boost tourism post-pandemic through the tools of K-Pop, Food, Fashion, Beauty, Nightscapes and Events. For that reason, the festival was inaugurated by inviting many performers from the K-pop industry.

ENHYPEN, THE BOYZ, iKON, STAYC, Kep1er, IVE, ATEEZ, OH MY GIRL, NATURE, P1Harmony, BEO and Lee Young-ji were invited to fill in the opening ceremony’s lineup with stellar performances.
Artists performed their acts at the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul’s Songpa-gu District. Some of these songs were Future Perfect (Pass the MIC) and Polaroid Love by ENHYPEN; Love Scenario and Rhythm Ta by iKON; Teddy Bear and Poppy by STAYC; Giddy and WA DA DA by Kep1er; Kitsch and I Am by IVE; Dun Dun Dance by OH MY GIRL, Roar by THE BOYZ, and Not Sorry (ft pH-1) by Youngji in addition to others. ATEEZ closed out the night with their magnetic performances of the songs Halazia and The Real.
This is just the beginning, by the way. For the next eight days, attendees will be able to connect with the South Korean culture deeply. The festival will be divided into zones, and everyone will be given the opportunity to choose the events they can take part in. The K-drama and K-fashion zones will include drama soundtracks, the outfits worn by the actors in the drama and the opportunity to design their own Canvas bag.
Moreover, the K-beauty zone will also give attendees the opportunity to delve into the Korean beauty industry and the trends that are currently taking the country by storm. Over 3,000 Department stores all over Seoul will also feature a discount on shopping items in anticipation of the crowd and the scale of the festival. In the video shared by the official YouTube channel of the Seoul city, they share the different events taking place and the tagline that ties it all together “Feel the Real Seoul.”

According to the video, while the Seoul Culture Square will be held in Gwanghwamun Plaza from April 30 to May 7, 2023. At the same time, the Seould Bridge Taste Market will be held on May 6, 2023, at the Jamsu Bridge. Finally, the Myeong-Dong Festival held in the Myeong-dong Area will be happening from April 28 to May 7, 2023.
