Saare Jahan Se Accha Ending Explained
The series opens with an Indian intelligence agent realising that the CIA has intel about their nuclear plans, and, with Homi J. Bhabha’s death, India gets more and more worried about Pakistan’s nuclear plans. When they realise that scientists and physicists are being brought in from different countries to Pakistan, Vishnu lets Kao know that Pakistan is starting its operations of creating the bomb. However, Vishnu uses his informants, namely Naushad, to figure out that Murtaza isn’t creating a bomb; they are buying it. This pushes the Indian Intelligence into a frenzy as they rush to find a way to stop their plans.
What were Murtaza’s plans with the bomb?

In the end, Vishnu realises that Murtaza has come to an agreement with HGN, who are supplying them with a reactor and fission data, but in parts. They are going to shift the hardware cargo from one ship to another using a large container crane. In this way, he hoped that no one would find out about the operation because it doesn’t require any testing, but Pakistan would become a nuclear state anyway.

How does Vishnu get his hands on the intel?
Vishnu uses his various agents in Pakistan to get his hands on the intel, including Sukhbir, who is in Pakistan as an agent working as a broker in the Karachi Stock Exchange and is engaged to a man in the military from whom he is getting intel. The other people include Naushad, whom Vishnu is blackmailing into getting information on the nuclear bomb by threatening to expose that his son is gay, and Bilal, who is in charge of maintaining relationships between Pakistan and other countries and manipulating HGN to think that the country has more funds than it actually does.

What happens in the end?
In the end, Vishnu uses Fatima to plant a recording device in Munir Khan’s office, from where they learn the exact time when the operation is about to go down. Vishnu and his team find an abandoned tunnel under the port and use it, planning to blow up the road and cause an explosion so that none of the parts can be used. But, at the last moment, after the Pakistani military realises his plans and all his men are murdered, Sukhbir decides to give up his life to plough an explosive-laden boat into the cargo ship, finally ending the dangerous developments.
Vishnu goes back home with his wife, and although no one gets to know about his or his men’s contributions towards keeping the nation safe, it’s clear that keeping the country and countrymen safe is his primary goal, regardless of whether or not he gets recognition for it.
