Later, Emilia unexpectedly steps up and does what no one expected her to do. After waking up from his defeat, Julius challenges the man again. The episode also shows a heartfelt moment between Subaru and Julius, while delivering some really strong fight scenes throughout.

What did this mysterious swordsman or Stick Swinger do?

Julius finds himself in an unlikely battle with the mysterious Stick Swinger. Julius challenges him and even throws a sword at him because he doesn’t want to attack an unharmed man. However, Stick Swinger does not care about any swords. He openly tells Julius that without a sword, he can still defeat him. True to his words, the man fights with Julius with nothing but a pair of chopsticks.

How does the fight go?

The fight was exceptional between the two, and even though Julius managed to land some hits, the Stick Swinger achieved an overwhelming victory. He very badly humiliated Julius and showed him just who is stronger than both of them. On top of that, Anastasia also tried to help Julius, but she could not. Stick Swinger then goes on to mock Julius about Anastasia, which just makes Julius angrier. While trying to help, Anastasia exerted so much on her body that she also fainted. Later, Julius also gets knocked out, and Stick Swinger claims victory.

Who becomes the next challenger?

The next unlikely challenger is none other than Emilia. From the very beginning, the mysterious man tries to flirt with Emilia, and she cuts him off without even understanding what he is doing. She also lets him know she understands he is stronger than she is. This is why she puts forward a condition. If she manages to move him even an inch, he will accept defeat.

The battle begins, and Emilia tries her best to land attacks, which do not land. However, when the Stick Swinger tried to embarrass Emilia, she got an opening and landed a clean hit on him, making him fall flat. Emilia wins that match, surprising everyone. Thankfully, Stick Swinger also acknowledges his defeat.

Do we get to know who Stick Swinger actually is?

Yes, we vaguely do.

What happens after Julius wakes up?

The moment Julius wakes up, he remembers the humiliating defeat he had to go through. That is why he goes to fight the Stick Swinger again. Unsurprisingly, he again beats Julius. However, this time, the beating was so severe that Subaru had to run to him and protect him from getting killed. Later, Subaru also brings him down the stairs, carrying Julius on his back.

This moment felt especially beautiful because it allowed the two to share a heartfelt conversation. They also understood each other on a deeper and almost spiritual level. Perhaps, they came to recognise their shared stubbornness. And how instinctively they face danger without ever thinking of themselves first. By the end, the scene presents a glimpse into the friendship growing between them.

The fight scenes were all great, and it was really surprising to see Julius lose to someone. What was even more surprising, though, was that Emilia did not lose. Her calm attitude and courage really help her in situations like these. Other than that, I did not particularly dislike anything from this episode.
