Reincarnated as a Sword Episode 10 Review and Recap – Elemental Powers

Another interesting episode of this anime has arrived, and I appreciate the way this episode unfolded. Previously we saw how Fran and Amanda go on this new adventure where they will have to enter the very dangerous, Spider’s nest dungeon.

The moment they enter, we see how everyone beautifully handles the situation and kills the spiders that come their way. In the first level, the spiders might look scary, but they were not powerful enough to hurt our heroes.

Despite Krad being a big talker, he proves to be a skilled fighter and kills many spiders himself. On the other hand, Cruise, as the dependent leader, also fights valiantly and leads the pack.

The situation was so under control that Amanda and Fran don’t even try to kill these new monsters, they just talk amongst themselves. Fran tells her how she knows how to use all the skills and magic but doesn’t know about them in detail. She asks Amanda to elaborate on everything, and with her, we, as the audience, also get to know about the essential powers of this world.

Amanda, like a proper teacher, tells everything she knows, from skills to combat techniques to magic. She even informs about elemental powers and how one can evolve these magics to create other more powerful skills.

The party moves to the third floor, and everything goes pretty well till then. Fran even thanks Amanda and offers her curry, an unexpected gesture she has never done for anyone. This proves that Amanda has become a trustworthy person to Fran after the last battle.

But the moment we feel that everything is working smoothly, a problem strikes. The party moves to the 6th floor, and the horde of trick spiders increases exponentially. They overwhelm everyone, including Fran and force the party to descend back to the fifth floor.

But as if that was not enough, two of Krad’s party members get affected by magic and crash into Fran, sending her down some stairs. There, the three get teleported to another place, and Fran gets separated from Teacher.

Verdict

This episode started off as a bit mild and focused more on the educational bit. We got to know how the power system of this world works and how Fran was affected by it. That part answered many of our questions as well. The second half was action based and, it delivered a more thrilling experience. You can watch the series on HIDIVE.
