Shows Releasing on Prime Video in April 2023
Redefined: J.R. Smith
It is an upcoming docuseries featuring J.R. Smith, the two-time NBA champion. The athlete has suddenly changed his focus from basketball to golf, which is the main subject surrounding the show. In four parts, the story of the retired baller pursuing golf currently will be explored. Various facets of his personal life will also be shown, along with his newfound passion for the sport. The series comes from LeBron James and Maverick Carter and their Uninterrupted banner.
Redefined: J.R. Smith will be released on April 4, 2023.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5
Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the period drama television series will be returning for the fifth and final season. The story follows a New York housewife with an amazing talent for stand-up comedy. The critically acclaimed series has received various nominations and won multiple awards, including Emmy and Golden Globe. It stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam “Midge” Maisel in the lead role.
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 will be released on April 14, 2023.
Queens on the Run
Caravana das Drags is a drag really show where ten Brazilian drag artists from across the country will participate in fierce competition. The winner of the series will be declared as “Supreme Drag”. The series will follow the participants as they travel to multiple Brazilian cities on an extravagantly decorated bus.
Queens on the Run will be released on April 14, 2023.
Greek Salad
The French drama series follows a group of young individuals going through the ups and downs of life. Created by Cédric Klapisch, Thomas Colineau, Agnès Hurstel, Paul Madillo, Eugène Riousse, and Charlotte de Givry, the story will showcase European youth and their experiences of life in the present times.
Greek Salad or Salade Grecque will be released on April 14, 2023.
Dead Ringers
Featuring Rachel Weisz in the lead role, the series is a modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller starring Jeremy Irons. Produced by Amazon Studios alongside Annapurna Television, the story will follow the twins Elliot and Beverly Mantle and their complex relationship. Their relationship dynamic will be explored where they push the ethical boundaries to their limit.
Dead Ringers will be released on April 21, 2023.
Citadel
Starring Richard Madden as Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Nadia Sinh in the lead roles, the plot of the series will follow two secret spies who need to save the world from the bad guys. Mason and Nadia, who share the same past, embark on a mission again to stop Manticore from creating a new world order. From Amazon Studios and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, the show is executive produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes for AGBO.
Citadel will be released on April 28, 2023.
Takeshi’s Castle

The reality TV series is a reboot of the legendary Japanese variety show which was broadcast from 1986-89. The game show is filmed at Midoriyama Studio, the same location as the original version. A total of 300 players will be participating in the series and will attempt the most classic games like Dragon God’s Pond, The Strait of Gibraltar, On Mushroom Trip and many more.
The release date of the show is yet to be announced; however, it is expected to be out in late April 2023.
