Pirate Gold of Adak Island may have been released at the end of June but the craze behind the treasure hunting documentary picked up in July and has been going on since then. The show started a discourse among the viewers and treasure expedition enthusiasts, about whether the show was even scripted or not, and if the coins found are real.

Girl in the Picture
Girl in the Picture is a true-crime documentary based on the international bestseller A Beautiful Child and its follow-up, Finding Sharon, written by the award-winning investigative journalist Matt Birkbeck. The documentary investigates the search to solve a 30-year-old mystery, about who was Sharon Marshall and how did she end up with a fugitive who apparently killed her.

My Daughter’s Killer
This documentary tells the story of Kalinka Bamberski, how she was the victim of voluntary manslaughter which led her father, André Bamberski to seek out justice for her and go to some extremes that one can only imagine. The documentary concerns a father’s fight for justice during the 1980s when his daughter was killed and lawful procedures were overturned. The show is streaming now on Netflix.

The series looks at the 50-year quest to find the mysterious man who hijacked a Northwest Airlines passenger jet in November 1971 and escaped with $200,000, never to be seen again. Five decades. Few clues. Too many suspects. The identity of skyjacker D.B. Cooper remains one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century.

Indian Predator The Butcher of Delhi
Indian Predator The Butcher of Delhi is a true-crime documentary series produced by VICE India. It traces the story of a notorious serial killer who ruthlessly dismembered his victims and scattered their body parts around India’s national capital. The series of mutilated bodies and taunting notes left outside a Delhi jail sends police hunting for a seasoned killer with a grudge against the system.
The incident shocked the country and while the killer was convicted for his crimes, many remain unidentified which you can read about here. The 3-part docuseries is streaming on Netflix.
The Most Hated Man on the Internet
The Most Hated Man on the Internet tells the story of one mother’s mission against the self-styled ‘King of Revenge Porn’, after nude photos of her daughter are posted online. Hunter Moore was a self-proclaimed ‘professional life ruiner’ who found fame in the early 2010s by founding IsAnyoneUp.com, a notorious revenge porn hub.
The site posted explicit photos of women and men, often without their permission and with devastating results. He built a cult following of those who hung on his every raunchy move. This three-part series documents his comeuppance at the hands of the only force more fearsome than an army of internet trolls – a mother protecting her daughter.
