Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Characters, Episodes and Everything Else We Know So Far About the Disney+ Series

It’s just about time to take on Camp Half-Blood! Percy Jackson and the Olympians (PJO) finally releases this year of Disney+ Hotstar, and the few teasers and previews that have already made their way onto the internet has created an undeniable buzz that can’t be ignored. With the ongoing New York Comic Con 2023 (NYCC 2023), more such updates related to the show have been announced along with exclusive footage that hasn’t been revealed to the public otherwise. Regardless of the unknown, we’ve decided to turn our attention to what’s already known because our excitement knows no bounds while we await the majestic reboot of the long-time favourite fantasy novels of the same name penned by Rick Riordan.

Although the initial film adaptations starring Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T Jackson have been vehemently disregarded by the book series fans (and the author himself), the new upcoming TV series has sparked a renewed interest in Greek mythology and the loveable characters we can’t to meet again in a more age-appropriate timeline. With Riordan directly involved in the making of this series, the expectations for it have gone through the roof and it’s about time that we start the countdown on this much-awaited series we are ready to adopt as our most favourite premiere in recent times.

With the new revelation already weighing heavy on his head, he’s also accused by the Greek God Zeus of stealing his potent weapon – the thunderbolt. With Riordan and his wife Becky at the panel, the first few minutes of the first episode were exclusively previewed for the audience present there. As a pleasant surprise and blessing for the fans, these first few minutes basically narrate the book’s beginning with wholehearted loyalty and precision, led by Walker Scobell’s distinct interpretation of Percy’s character, his bond with Aryan Simhadri’s Grover and the eventual face-off against Mrs Dodds.

Other consequential moments revealed in this preview include Chiron gifting Percy a capped pen aka Riptide, flashbacks of Percy’s life and the reason for him being named Perseus, to name a few.
