Parasite in Love: All You Need to Know About Netflix’s Upcoming Japanese Drama

Netflix’s slate of Japanese drama is expanding with Parasite in Love being the latest addition. The OTT platform has also released Last One Standing this week which is also a Japanese drama mixed with reality comedy. This upcoming drama is based on the 2016 novel Koi Suru Kiseichu by Sugaru Miaki and, is directed by Kensaku Kakimoto, with a screenplay from Yukiko Yamamuro that is inspired by the book.

The film is produced by Takanori Iwakami, Kazunari Hashiguchi and Shinichiro Tojima, with cinematographer Kateb Habib in tow. It is distributed by Kadokawa Pictures and Netflix. Before the film releases, let us get to know the film better.

The cast features Kento Hayashi as Kengo Kosaka, Ryo Ishibashi as Yuichi, Arata Iura as Izumi and, Nana Komatsu as Hijiri Sanagi.

Parasite in Love Plot/Synopsis

Netflix’s description of the film reads: “A germaphobe connects with a high schooler who fears being seen and they soon fall in love- though it might be brain parasites both of them have”. The platform further describes the upcoming title as intimate, emotional and romantic.

Parasite in Love is arriving on Netflix on Saturday, March 13th, 2022. The runtime of the psychological film is going to be somewhere around 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. You can check out the trailer for the upcoming movie below.
