Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

In this episode, the much-anticipated stage play begins, with our leads fully immersed in their roles, drawing the audience into the auditorium’s atmosphere. The story unfolds about a man whose fate changes after obtaining a single sword. Taiki stars as the hero, Blade, who defeats Kana’s character, Tsurugi, and claims the sword. Tsurugi then pledges to help Blade rule Japan, and together they gain companions like Kizami, played by Melt.

The tension builds as the characters prepare to face off against the Shibuya onis, the main antagonists of the play. However, the episode also delves into Melt’s journey as an actor. Melt’s pivotal moment comes when his character confronts a former ally, Monme, now aligned with the Shibuya onis. Monme is portrayed by Sakuya, a rival to Melt both on and off the stage. Despite Sakuya’s unpleasant personality and womanizing ways, his acting skills are undeniable, setting a high bar for Melt to match.

As the episode progresses, we are given a deeper look into Melt’s character and background. Initially, he believed he could coast by without honing his acting skills. However, a harsh reality check made him realize that without significant effort, he might never measure up in the industry. Unlike Akane, who meticulously studies her characters, or Aqua, who can perfectly emulate a director’s vision, Melt lacks natural talent but compensates with relentless hard work.

The episode ends on a reflective note, showing Melt’s growth and determination to prove himself in a field where his first experience had been anything but successful.

In the next episode, we might see the part where Aqua and Akane thrive. They have not appeared in the live-action show yet and hence, we are yet to see just how they manage to complete their respective roles. Aqua might struggle at first, but he should be able to land a phenomenal performance.
