Ninja Kamui Episode 11 Overview

Ninja Kamui Episode 11 Review Yamaji Betrays Auza

Ninja Kamui is a captivating Japanese anime series brought to life by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, with a touch of executive flair from Williams Street. Making its debut on Adult Swim’s Toonami lineup in February 2024, this show has been eagerly anticipated since its announcement in May 2022. Steering the series is director Sunghoo Park, while the iconic character designs come from Takashi Okazaki.

Ninja Kamui first got everyone buzzing when Adult Swim dropped a teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023. Other than that, the video game version of Ninja Kamui, called Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, is set to come out in the second quarter of 2024.

The theme song, “Vengeance,” by Coldrain, sets the stage as the opening of the show.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Ninja Kamui Episode 11 Review and Recap: Zai Was Abandoned

This episode starts with a massive fight between Zai and Higan. After their Kamui gears fail to keep up with the pace, these ninjas battle it out with hand-to-hand combat. The choreography portrayed here is impressive and clean, with some fast-paced moves. This exchange was very heated, and no one refused to back down. Ultimately, they both used their secret techniques and finally, one winner came out victorious. The results of this fight were pretty surprising, considering Zai and Higan’s previous interactions.

But problems are not just brewing among these two ninjas, as we see betrayal amongst Auza and the ninja organisation, as well. From the very beginning, we saw the ninja organisation and Auza working side by side, protecting each other. One would think that their friendship and partnership will last till the end, but that is not the case. Both of these organisations were waiting for the other to slip up so that one could backstab the other.

Now we see the ninja organisation getting their hands on the much-coveted technology of making and enhancing hi-tech gears. This is why Yamaji does not need Joseph or his expertise anymore. Hence, he plans to betray the Auza corporation and separate his ninja organisation from them. But this does not mean Joseph has no idea about it, as he has been spying on Yamaji, behind his back all this time. Here, another mess of a situation arises, and we truly do not know what the fate of both the ninja organisation and Auza, will be.

Today’s episode was action-heavy as well as emotion-heavy. We see how Zai was emotionally affected by the betrayal of Mari and Higan. He thought that his best friends would stay with him, but they chose their own happiness and left him to suffer in the ninja organisation. We also got to know what happened to him after Mari and Higan left him and why he wore a mask.

Ninja Kamui Episode 11 Review Yamaji Betrays Auza

This is the second last episode of this anime, and things are nowhere near the end. There are still many things that need to be discussed and explored, and I do not know how they will manage to close everything up in only one episode. Maybe there is another season coming up. Other than that, today’s episode was decent, and it sets up the events that will happen in the next episode.
