My Policeman Trailer: Harry Styles in a Story of Love, Longing and Regret

Amazon Prime Video dropped the much-awaited My Policeman trailer. The film stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, David Dawson, Linus Roache, Gina McKee and Ruper Everett. The story is based on Bethan Roberts’ book of the same name. Directed by Michael Grandage, the streaming platform describes the movie as a ‘visually transporting, heart-stopping portrait of three people caught up in the shifting tides of history, liberty, and forgiveness’.

The synopsis reads, “A beautifully crafted story of forbidden love and changing social conventions, My Policeman follows three young people—policeman Tom (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson)—as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain.”

The plot is further described as follows, “Flashing forward to the 1990s, Tom (Linus Roache), Marion (Gina McKee), and Patrick (Rupert Everett) are still reeling with longing and regret, but now they have one last chance to repair the damage of the past.”

The trailer gives a glimpse of the relationship between Tom and Marion and Tom and Patrick. There are secrets, unspoken love and lots to unload for the characters. It’s Harry Styles’ first OTT release, and everyone is excited to see it. The singer is taking up interesting acting roles, and My Policeman looks riveting.

Just like Harry, the rest of the cast also looks promising. The chemistry between Harry and David is full of passion.

The Prime Video movie will be premiered at the 2022 Toronto Internation Film Festival on September 11, 2022. It will release online on November 4, 2022.

Styles’ new release, Don’t Worry Darling, is coming up in September. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the film also stars Florence Pugh, Chris Pine and Gemma Chan. It is slated to release on September 23, 2022 (USA).
