The episode kicks off with Makoto visiting Koichi’s home, pretending to be his girlfriend in an effort to impress his strict mother, who’s eager to meet her son’s significant other. However, Koichi’s mother is no fool, as she quickly sees through the act and isn’t shy about expressing her frustration, giving Koichi a solid scolding for trying to mislead her.

Things escalate when Pop Step unexpectedly shows up, followed by Knuckleduster, turning the whole situation into a chaotic gathering. Fortunately, Knuckleduster manages to keep things relatively calm by introducing himself in a composed and vague manner, mentioning that he helps people in the area without revealing too much.

Later, Koichi, Makoto, and his mom go on a casual shopping trip. But the outing takes a dangerous turn when their tour bus suddenly goes rogue. It turns out that Hachisuka has drugged a cat, which ends up hijacking the vehicle. Pro hero Ingenium arrives just in time to help, sensing Koichi is in trouble. He saves most of the passengers, but Makoto remains trapped as Hachisuka injects the cat with a full dose of the drug, making it uncontrollably violent.

Koichi supports Ingenium by supplying him with the fuel he needs to keep going, and Ingenium decides to bring Koichi in as backup for the rescue. However, the plan doesn’t unfold as expected. In the heat of the moment, Koichi steps up and shows a glimpse of his true potential, proving that he might be far stronger than anyone had assumed.

Today’s episode starts with some background information about Knuckleduster as we get to know that he has a wife who is terminally ill. Apparently, Hachisuka has something to do with her condition, and it becomes apparent that he is hunting her because of that. Knuckleduster gets the help of Soga to get info on Hachisuka by making Soga go to her school. However, Hachisuka tries to attack him with her bees when she realises what he’s trying to do.

Even though Knuckleduster is directly involved in this thing, he doesn’t want to involve Pop Step or Koichi. This is because he thinks that they do not deserve to be in more problems than they already are. But we also see that Hachisuka has been living with some dead bodies, who might be her parents.

On the other hand, Pop Step gets an opportunity to perform at a very big event and is thinking whether she should agree to it or not. Koichi being unsure himself does not know how to cheer her up and he decides to ask Makoto for help. After seeing no other option, Pop Step agrees to get Makoto’s help to make her performance a success.

This episode also had some other interesting aspects with Captain Celebrity. Till now, we have yet to see something very serious or tragic, but we get a hint of that in this episode. It becomes clear that Hachisuka and Knuckleduster do share some past ties, and we need to explore their history to understand them more.

Even though this anime will soon end, it is still a very good show that shines in the otherwise underwhelming Spring 2025 anime lineup.
