My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 10 Recap

Here, a small boy suddenly emerges from the ground, vowing to assist Miyo, marking the start of the episode. Meanwhile, Miyo regains consciousness after fainting and learns the distressing news about her husband’s situation. The city is under siege, and the special anti-grotesque unit is making efforts to counter the threat posed by the gifted communion. At the same time, Prince Takaihito is actively pursuing the remaining intruders.
Elsewhere, Arata’s true intentions come to light. Rather than fully aligning with the gifted communion, he is cooperating with them only to ensure Miyo’s safety. Later, the identity of the young boy is revealed, as he is actually a shikigami under Kiyoka’s command. This confirms that Kiyoka remains unharmed. With this newfound hope, Miyo sets out on a mission to rescue him, guided by the shikigami.

This episode also uncovers the full backstory of Usui, a deeply tragic figure. Having lost his parents at a young age, he harboured a thirst for revenge, directing his abilities against powerless humans. This marked the beginning of his descent into cruelty. Over time, he became increasingly ruthless, but the arrival of Sumi in his life brought back some of his lost humanity. However, even that fragile hope was shattered when Sumi married someone else. Devastated, Usui disappeared for a time, only to later reemerge as the founder of the gifted communion.
My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 11 Review

Arata goes to see Kiyoka at the beginning of the episode and mocks him. Here, Kiyoka blames him for siding with the villains, but Arata just tells him whatever he is doing is for the Usuba family and Miyo. On the other hand, Miyo wakes up from her dream with her ability to see the future properly working. She plans to use it to get Kiyoka out of prison, and the first thing that she must do is seek out Godo so that she can start this rescue mission.
Miyo also goes to her in-laws and asks them for help. Her father-in-law readily agrees, and surprisingly, her mother-in-law becomes very supportive of her resolve as well. We see that Miyo is finally getting accepted as the bride of the Kudo family.

After this, Miyo, Tatsuishi, and Kiyo go to rescue Kiyoka, but here, they land themselves in a problem. Miyo cannot use her power within the building where Kiyoka is being held because of a barrier. However, the main highlight of this episode comes after the rescue of Kiyoka.
Miyo thinks that her mother would not have wanted Usui to turn evil like this as she loved him. Thus, Miyo believes that if she can help Usui see what her mother truly desires, he will change his evil acts. This is why, Miyo plans to reason with him and let him know that her mother might have died, but she had a happy life, and she would have wanted him to move on.
Verdict

Today’s episode was definitely intense and action-packed, as we mostly see Miyo trying to save her husband. She has been showing her tough side towards her enemies now that she must save a loved one. She also doesn’t want to hurt Usui and just wishes to reform him. Hopefully, she will be able to achieve her goals in the next episode.
