MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 6: First Challenge For Top 16
The judges and the top 16 contestants appear in the main kitchen and introduce themselves. Without wasting much time, Ranveer Brar reveals the Chef Coat and the trophy that the champion will take away home this year. After discussing a few things and motivating the contestants to do a good job, the judges disclose the challenge that will decide the fate of each participant.
In front of each contestant, there are two plates with a mystery ingredient. One plate consists of each cook’s favourite item, and another plate consists of their least favourite item. The challenge is to create a dish incorporating both ingredients within an hour.
Without wasting time, the cooks rushed to the pantry to pick up the needed groceries.

A few of the dishes stood out the most, and one of them was Nayanjyoti’s. Using cherries as his main ingredient and beans, he created an inventive dessert that left the judges speechless. It is commendable that a person who learned cooking only through youtube videos could pull off such a technical dish.
The next person who impressed the judges was 40-year-old Kamaldeep. She created an intricate dessert that blew the judges’ minds away. They even declared her as one of the main threats in the competition. With her refreshing dumplings, Nazia left a lasting impression on the three. But there were also some disappointing dishes from a few contestants. One of them could not be tasted because the food was raw. Nevertheless, it was a learning experience for each of them, and the judges motivated them not to lose hope.
Then the time to announce the competition winners came, and the selected people would receive full immunity for one week. There could only be two winners: one of them was Nayanjyoti, and the next was Nazia. The judges said that Kamaldeep was a close second, and the episode ended on that note.
MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 6: Final Thoughts

The latest episode was extremely entertaining and interesting to watch. It was fast-paced and wasted no time in unnecessary drama like the previous ones. The creators managed to keep the audience engaged. However, some of the contestants had very less screen time which might create a disconnect with the viewers. The main ingredient of the show, the dishes, were also not shown in full detail, which is a major drawback. Overall, the episode was an enjoyable experience.
