MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 45 Recap Contains Spoilers

In MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 45, the cooks are presented with three ingredients- pumpkin, chicken and fish. They are to pick one ingredient and feature it in their dish. However, the catch is after the first round is over, when the cooks move to the second round, they are only allowed to use the remaining of their feature ingredient and that round and further on.

Meticulous use of ingredient is key in this challenge as the contestants need to survive three rounds with only one certain amount of ingredient. The first round consists of only 30 minutes, it is announced. Two dishes winning the first round will save themselves from the elimination and will be up in the gantry.

Sarah picks the snapper fish along with Keyma, Tommy and Aldo. Montana’s pick is the chicken, and so is Alvin’s. After the first round, it is Sarah and Keyma, who are safe from the elimination by scoring well with their fish dishes. This means Tommy, Aldo, Alvin and Montana move onto the second round.

Again for the second round, it is two dishes out of the lot that will get saved from the elimination, sending two participants on a head-on challenge at the end. Montana and Aldo are safe by the end of the second rounding leaving Tommy and Alvin to compete for their space in the MasterChef kitchen. Alvin and Tommy being face to face is a hard challenge as both the cooks are friends and almost like brothers to one another. So, seeing them compete is hard for the audience as well as the contestants in question.

Tommy’s final dish for MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 45 is Banh Can with Ca Kho and Mango Salad. Alvin’s dish is Drunken Chicken 2.0, which is basically his signature dish from his season that has always been a fan favourite.
