Little Women Episode 8 Ending Explained

Towards the end of this very thrilling episode, we see In-ju making her way to the apartment that she had earlier visited with Do-il which is noted as Hwa-young’s address in Singapore. Having just gone through a life-threatening accident followed by dragging herself to the house, she does not think twice before picking up the blue drink waiting for her on the table and gulping it down.

With that, she begins waiting for Hwa-young, whom she thinks is still alive while the scene shifts to In-hye who has found something very shocking while going through Jae-sang’s computer. The idea of going through his computer first came to her head after realising that he knew about the discussion Hyo-rin had with her mother in their room.

Upon going through some files she realises that there is a camera in the room which revealed this visit. However, she does not stop there and finds the recording from the day Hwa-young died and stumbles upon a big secret.

She then takes this video to Hyo-rin and tells her that Sang-a had left the house that day with a fur coat on, but when she arrived there was no coat. This is because just like the doll hanging in a wardrobe with a fur coat in Sang-a’s model, Hwa-young’s murderer wrapped her in a fur coat and left her hanging.

Upon connecting the dots, they realise that the real culprit is none other than Sang-a and they are sure about this because this woman is even capable of tricking her own daughter.

Back in Singapore, the doors of the apartment open and In-ju rushes there to finally meet Hwa-young but is shocked when she sees Sang-a entering the doors. In-ju finally realises that Hwa-young is really dead and now she too is going to die.

Sang-a bursts out laughing when seeing In-ju who is in disbelief as she mocks her for actually believing that Hwa-young was alive. When In-ju asks her the reason for this she tells her that she likes “secret plays”. She likes playing with dolls and In-ju was exactly that for her.

Sang-a then plays a recording of In-ju from the point of view of the people she had previously met in Singapore who had claimed to know her. As her activities throughout the day and the desperation of finding Hwa-young play on the television, Sang-a comments about how much she likes the look on her face.

Shocked by what she has been shown she asks when it all started and Sang-a plays a video of her interview from three years back as she explains the character she had built up for her. Making her an outcast and then introducing Hwa-young into her life as the one she can rely on, it was all Sang-a’s play.

Hwa-young was her favourite character, but every time she sees a doll for her amusement, she also sees their death. Hwa-young’s death was perfectly executed and now In-ju’s death too will go as she has planned. In-ju then questions In-hye’s safety and Sang-a lets her know that nothing will happen to her sister because she will soon become one of them and will remain safe.

Also, Hyo-rin will be devastated if anything were to happen to In-hye. In-ju continues to feel sleepy and is amused that she is like this in the current situation. Sang-a tells her that it is because of the blue orchid tea that she has been drinking this whole time which is even capable of knocking down a horse.

But In-ju will remain conscious because Sang-a wants her to witness her own death. She tells In-ju that this is all her fault for being born poor and yet trying to reach her level through her futile efforts. In-ju knows where things are going and asks to see the 70 billion won that she had dragged to this apartment.

Sang-a cheerfully goes to open the bag containing the money, however, what she finds inside is not money but bricks. Stunned, she turns around but there she sees In-ju with a gun in her hand pointing at her.

This time In-ju mocks her by telling her how much she loves the expression she is making like she has lost her toy.

Conclusion

The ending of this episode really shook us because we finally know that Sang-a is a woman whom we definitely cannot trust as she is a crazy lady who uses people as her toys. We can say that she is wreaking havoc everywhere and Jae-sang is just someone who is cleaning up after this powerful yet psychotic villain.

However, it is In-ju and In-hye who have shocked me the most. With In-hye finding out Sang-a’s truth and sharing it with Hyo-rin, this double betrayal is going to hurt the latter into doing something crazy herself.

On the other hand, In-ju has finally taken things into her own hands and no longer wants to be Sang-a’s doll whom she can kill whenever she wants. But it does make me wonder how she is able to stand under the effects of the blue orchid tea and why the bag is filled with bricks.

This episode revealed the true manipulator and changed In-ju’s character for the viewers of the show. Now we know why Do-il has been giving so much importance to In-ju’s role in all this.

However, I don’t believe that Hwa-young was completely under Sang-a’s manipulation and I really hope that there is more to her character other than being one of Sang-a’s toys.

What do you think happened to the 70 billion Won? How will In-ju escape this situation? Will Jae-sang find Sang-a before Do-il arrives for In-ju?
