King the Land Overview

King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a (Yoona), Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.

The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.

Lee Jun-ho was last seen on The Red Sleeve as Yi San / King Jeongjo, while Yoona played audience-favourite Go Mi-ho in 2022’s hugely popular Big MouthKing the Land takes over the jTBC’s Saturday-Sunday 22:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Doctor Cha.

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads: “Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand.”

Gu Won and Sa-rang soon clear out their misunderstandings, however, the former soon understands the need to have power in his hands whilst in King Hotel. With the Prince of Arab as his goal to increase his power, he turns to woo Sa-rang and brings out his sincerity.

King the Land Episode 6 Recap

Gu Won rescues Sa-rang and find out that the plant she dug was real wild ginseng. This astonishes the man who deals with ginseng and soon agrees to collaborate with King Hotel. Later, the two go to Sa-rang’s grandmother’s restaurant where she doesn’t recognise Gu Won and makes him work like any other colleague of Sa-rang’s.

The two share a peaceful moment here before returning back home when Gu Won asks her to go on a date. However, the next day during a VIP’s birthday party, Sa-rang sees Gu Won being close to an heiress and gets angry. She carries this mood back home which is soon fixed by her friends and some dancing.

The three then take turns to pick up the food, however, when it is Sa-rang’s turn to grab the food, she sees Gu Won standing in front of her.
